Set a Goal for August

Hi there,

August is upon us. What will your goal be in this month often associated with vacations? Is your goal this month to push on ahead, starting your preparations for the holidays? Or perhaps your goal is to relax, take a break, and gain some energy with which you can approach the upcoming busy season.

No matter what your goal, setting a specific one and sharing it with others can help you accomplish more. For the last two months we invited sellers to set a goal and share it with the team. Take a look at last month's thread ( https://www.etsy.com/teams/5002/etsy-success/discuss/14828939/page/1) where you'll see many sellers reporting they reached their goals or made some progress they felt good about. For some easy inspiration, take a peek towards the end of the thread.

Take a moment to settle on your goal and then share it here. By writing it down and sharing with others, you'll reinforce your commitment to it.

A goal can be anything from listing a new item to reaching your 100th sale.

Hi There :)

My first goal is to stay calm :)

Second is to take time to spend with my family over the last few months of Summer. :)

But, I am definitely working on my Fall and Holiday products earlier this year., because I usually start thinking about them a little too late in the year.

I hope to make it to 150 sales by the end of this month. :)

I have being selling on Etsy since 2010 :)

I have two shops here on etsy and I am selling since 2010

For Ringcat (started seriously selling for this one have a year ago) goals are:
* rewrite 44 listings. Look at texts, titles and tags
* reach 50 listings, I have 44 at the moment
* setting up packaging, design and picture taking

For tabsolute (selling since 2010)
* Re-order supplies and packaging, getting ready for Xmas

For both:
* promote on tumblr, instagram, twitter on a regular basis
* gain more followers on instagram. I have 100 now and like to reach 105
* gain more followers on tumbr. I have 214 now and like to reach 220

My shop had been opened near 3 months, just set it simple and easy...My goals are :

1. Reach 15 sales, now is 11. (Good Luck !!)
2. Have 40 items in shop, for this moment just 30 items
3. Get over 100 admirers for my shop.

I'm pretty new to Etsy - think my shop's been going a couple of weeks now. I've had one enquiry so far which may or may not lead to a sale!

My goal for the month needs to be to figure out how to get seen here!

Along with that I aim to work on my branding and stock up.

My goals are
1. Tidy my shop ( new photos, tags etc)
2. Add 5 more listings
3. Concentrate on SEO
4. and most importantly enjoy the experiences!!

I opened shop in 2011 but.. life got in the way.. Have been really selling items from May this year.. My goals for August:

1. Reach 30 listings (currently 20 listings)
2. Keep an average of 60 views per day
3. Reach 25 sales (starting with 22)
4. Stay positive!

Hi All . I am new to this team and this is my first post It is great to read everyone's positive articles

My goals are first to reach 100 sales, I am on 93, by the end of the month. I opened my existing shop last November.
I will be on holiday for a week but while I am away I hope to source new ( to me my fabric is alll vintage ) fabrics as I may go to a few vintage auctions. I want to list some new makes in preparation for building up my stock levels for the Christmas season.
And lastly find another way of promoting. I use pinterest, fb and a bit of Twitter which I can't get my head round . And FB is useless at the moment.

First of all I love LilyRazz Kawaii pillows. I think I have favorited all of them.

So my goal for August is to make time to add more listings (43).
Work on my photography. A picture is worth a thousand words or sales :)
I would also like to become more active on social media sites, especially adding views to my facebook page.
Hopefully this will generate sales for the holidays.

My goal for August is simple, and looking very shaky at the moment as I lay in bed recovering from some pretty bad morning sickness:
- Stay Open!
we'll see if it actually happens, but I may have to put my shop on vacation in the middle of my busy back to school season.

August is always crazy month for me with vacations and getting the kids ready for school. There is always a lot for me to do other than work on my Etsy business. My goal for this month is to list 8 embroidery items and be designing another 10 unique items.

I have been working hard on redoing my photos. I was told that having my logo on them is probably not a good idea. So this has been my big goal: Improve my pictures. Simplify backgrounds and make them better.

I am on school holidays so have a number of goals to achieve.
1-to increase my stock and have it in reserve so I can post at least 5 new items a week leading up to Christmas.
2-to knit a lot of socks and open a sock shop for the Christmas period.
3-to scan and upload more vintage knitting patterns
4-to re-photograph my stock.
5-to tidy up and improve the details on all pages of my shop
6-hopefully the above will improve my sales

I have a habit of setting goals and then either completely forgetting about them or lacking the time to see it through but I am going to really make an effort with this one.

My goal is to work on all of my photos in my shop and make them coherent and bright and also to list a new item each week minimum!

So much to work on! But we'll take it a step or two at a time.

Take listings from 36 to 50.
Add a couple of handmade items--right now I'm concentrating on selling fabric.
Add a PDF pattern for Christmas.

My goals are:
1.Add new listings in my stamp shop CassaStamps
Add new linocuts in my linocut shop CassaStudio
2. Be better organized with social media posts
3. Work on SEO
4. Improve tags because they are not working well.
5. About sales...what can I say! I had 28 last month which was a record for me...but I don´t know how that happened, I wish I knew so I can repeat it! I'd be happy If I get the same amount of sales and thrilled If it surpasses my record. We'll see.

I just opened my shop at the end of June and have had one sale....to my daughter lol. Its all good though..very excited to be here and working hard to build up my shop. My goal is to have 50 items by the end of this month. :)

Cassandra, you had sales because you are having a summer 10% off sale. That's wonderful, but don't do that too often because buyers will then wait for your sales, and avoid paying you the full price that you deserve.
