Posting Photos

I am trying to figure out the best way to post my landscape and fine art photos. Right now I have around 30 different images to upload.

I want to offer them in the following formats:

Gloss Photo Paper in various sizes
Metallic Prints in various sizes
Canvas Wraps in various sizes

My first thought was to create three different sections in my shop, one for each type of print and then link back and forth in the description section. For example if you are in the gloss photo section I would have a line something like "be sure to also check out our canvas gallery wraps" with a link to that section of the store.

The issue is that I am then basically entering the same item with the same thumb nail three times so I am concerned it looks ridiculous on the home page of my store because I have three items that at first glance appear to be identical.

The other way I could handle it would be creating a single listing and using options but then I would have 15 or so options once I listed each type and the sizes.

I thought about creating two variables, one for print type and one for size but not all the sizes are available in all print sizes.

Help!

Re: Posting Photos

If it were me, and I had the time, I would probably try it like you first said with the three different sections. You could always rearrange your shop to space all the ones that looked the same out and it would give you a chance to use different keywords for basically the same listing, thus gaining you more views theoretically. I'm really no expert in the area but that's my two cents on how I would approach it. :) Good luck with your shop!

Re: Posting Photos

When I was offering photography items in my original shop I used the 1 listing/multiple options dropbox and never had an issue with orders. The only thing to remember with that is postage prices, if they're not all going to be the same you either need to build it into the price, or separate them for that reason.

Re: Posting Photos

Hi Bill,
I think you could use different photos for the listings. Like for canvas wrap, the photo could be taken at an angle so that you can see the side of the canvas and know that it is a canvas print.

I sell both digital and printed cards, so I have to do double listings. But for digital listings, I have a banner on the first photo, that says that this is a digital listing. So it differentiates the listings a bit. You could do that too.

If it's too tedious, just use the drop down function in just a single listing. I think it's perfectly fine too.

I hope that helps.
