October Slow Down?

Hey all,

I am experiencing an October Slump. For Etsy veterans... Did you feel like there was a slump right before Christmas shopping started?

My shop practically came to a stop this month. Very stressful. I hope things improve soon. I definitely am going to work on my off-Etsy site again.

I am glad to hear I'm not the only one. Had a good September (for me) and was hoping the summer lull was over but October has only been one sale. I hope this doesn't keep up through the holidays, time will tell, I suppose!

Not sure if one can measure sales for all of us. My October has been busy with custom orders. Not related to Christmas.

Views are slightly lower than average this month, but my sales have been right on par with my normal number.

My views are a little lower than normal, but as I've had six sales this month it's been my best month yet. If this is slow, I am hoping that next month will be even better!

October sped up in sales for me.

Slow here too. Started to slow down tremendously in September and October has been worse. I am thankful for wholesale orders that came through.
My views are down as well-definitely noticed a slump after the new browse was introduced, I can't seem to get any of my pieces into any of the jewelry browse categories : (
Really hoping it picks up for the holidays as I invested in alot of supplies to make inventory.

I feel like October has been slower, my views and favorites are up, but I've had about half as many sales this month. Hoping November will be better.

I am wandering how people get 100s of views? What kind of promotion do you have to do for that?

Yeh! The views dropped a lot..........Got no sales at all for a week. So depressed.

I've actually done okay this month. But the last few days have been dead! Hardly any views and definitely no sales. :(

Not so much, but I'm really using October as a time to get things ready for the holidays, specifically by updating photos!

Mine have dropped since the new Browser as well. Not sure why. I have tried changing tags, etc and even using keyword ads by Etsy, which are usually successful. Hopefully its the calm before the storm!

I agree with several of you that this week has been slow, both in views and sales. oiajules mentioned something about jewelry browse categories, but I'm not sure what that meant. Does anyone know? I wonder if the pre-election season has something to do with the slowdown.

Sheri B -- Look further into Etsy forums re new Browse categories on Etsy Home Page, or just open Home.

My sales are pretty well at a standstill with just 2 this month. Hoping holidays will start early! Even though I am offering a sale, I have no bites on it. Looks are still up, but only one from Browse category all month. People still use Search for my things. Go figure...
