Looking for some shop feedback!

Can you all look at my shop and give me some critiques? I'm looking for any and ALL feedback. Thanks!

Julie

Re: Looking for some shop feedback!

I love your shop and just favorited it. You've got some great items.

Your photos are very good - there's a few with a pink tint to them but I get that it's hard to get good photos. I'm still struggling with that. I have two shops and this one was recently re-opened.

The only thing I saw that needs changing is your shop title - the line of text under your shop name below your banner. Instead of repeating your shop name you should type exactly what you sell. Search engines pick up on that line. You could put something like "handmade key chains and jewelry." If there's something unique about your items be sure to include that (your character count is limited so make it short and to the point). Otherwise, everything looks great to me. Good luck!

Re: Looking for some shop feedback!

You're welcome. :)

I've gotten a lot of great advice from this team. Stick around and you'll pick up a lot of great tips.

The one thing I didn't look at was your tags. Search for threads with tips on tagging to see how you're doing in that dept.

Re: Looking for some shop feedback!

Okay! I was going to go look back on that, because I've seen many people mention that tags are key. But thanks :) Just started out on the 1st, and really want to get the ball rolling on this! So far, so good though.

Re: Looking for some shop feedback!

Your pictures are nice and clear with minimal distractions which is great :) A couple of recommendations I would make are:

Beef up your descriptions. Describe the materials you used to make the pendants, the colors, patterns, etc.... these are used as keywords when people search. The same keywords should be included in your title.

Make tags keyword phrases. Imagine what someone who is searching for a pendant would look for; they probably wouldn't search for black on it's own, but they might search for black glass pendant or black pendant.

Good luck and looking good!

Re: Looking for some shop feedback!

Julie- looks like you're off to a good start!
In addition to what's already been said, I would suggest rearranging your titles so "keywords" are first. For instance, put what the item is before its color.
And, I always recommend going through the Seller Handbook and watching all the Online Labs. There's enough information there to keep you busy tweaking and improving for weeks!
Best wishes!
:) Athena

Wanted to ask, maybe You can tell how did You do that? :)

I have new Shop too and don't know exactly how to meet buyers :) I make my promotion in promotion teams discussions... Did You do the same or something else? :)

Re: Looking for some shop feedback!

Thanks! All I've done so far is make a facebook page and annoy the heck out of everybody who "liked" the page :p and honestly, all but one of the sales were from people I knew. So I really want OTHER people to start buying, other than friends and families ! But so far, that's all I've really done for advertising.

You're welcome!
If you're logged in to Etsy, and editing your shop, it's in the left sidebar. The Online Labs are in the drop-down "Community" link at the top of every Etsy page.
