I just organized all the stuff I need to post, and let me to tell you, its a lot. I didn't realize how much I had! All of it is knits, and all but two things are either cowls or hats

I was going to do the photo session in two phases: cowls and hats.

I was thinking of going with those foam heads for the photos so I won't have to worry about scheduling one of my friends coming over to do modeling (foam is a little more flexible with their time :P).

But which looks better from a buyers perspective? Foam heads or real people?

Re: Models vs Manaquines

My shop is mostly mannequin and I don't believe it has hurt my sales at all. I do agree that you have to find the right one, though. Some of them are a bit intense in their looks. What I like about mine is she has a soft look on her face and very little "makeup".

Re: Models vs Manaquines

Definitely real people if at all possible! I started off with using a foam head and then bought a mannequin head. But honestly the pictures that are on my models get much more views favorites and SALES! So if at all possible use a model. If not you can always rephotograph your items when you have a model available.
