Isn't this rude?

I don't know every rule of etiquette, but I was really irritated a while ago when I received a convo from a seller who I featured in a treasury. Her item was the last in the bottom row. She said:

"Thank you for the feature. However, I feel that my item fit your theme very well, and I was disappointed that it was not in the top three rows. I think that it had more right to be there than some of the items that were given those spots."

WHAT? How rude! I said nothing in response, and replaced her item with someone else's. I have never received a negative comment from someone who I had featured in a treasury. I mean, it is a good thing to be in a treasury, isn't it? Someone has to get the last spot, and the last spot really isn't that bad...

Have you gotten anything like this? Do you think I have a right to be SUPER annoyed?

although the commenter should have kept their thoughts to themselves instead of sending a convo i think it is unfortunate that they are being raked over the coals here....just sayin'

I think the comment was rude. I am always thrilled when someone includes me in any treasury. It wouldn't even occur to me to that there was an order of importance.

Wow, what a crappy response from that person. I am grateful when someone thinks that my item would be perfect for their treasury. As they say in show biz, "It's an honor to be nominated". I have created several treasuries, and some people thank me, but mostly everyone else just ignores it. I was under the impression that when someone takes the time to feature your article it's only polite to at least write a thank you....but I might be wrong. Anyways, I've vented this morning to you guys and feel much better. Thanks for the post..

WOOooooooooow! yep, that would have pissed me off greatly..as i have almost no time to make treasuries anymore and the very few i make i work pretty hard on.
i would have done the exact same thing.
i don't care if i'm in the first spot or the last one..im in there at least. :)

Um, whether someone is having a bad day or not I really don't think justifies ungrateful behavior it is simply unprofessional to rag on someone because they put you on the last spot.

That's ridiculous, you have every right to be annoyed! That is very rude, not to mention childish. I can't believe that would cross someone's mind and they would even go so far as to write that to you.

It is beyond rude. It is an obnoxious, ungracious and ignorant thing to say. When my work is featured in a treasury, I am grateful and convo the curator to thank them, not reprimand or criticize them. Just ignore it and keep on making treasuries!

Wow that was a pretty ballsy move on her part.

Only one page one...I would have written her back and said something like "you're right...it shouldn't be in the bottom row. I've removed it."

That was uncalled for! I would be super annoyed! Any treasury's I've been in I have sent the person a personalized "thank you"! I could never say something like they did. It just goes to show that not all people are raised with manners and taught how to be grateful! So sorry!

I'm grateful to be included in ANY Treasury -- I can't imagine complaining about row placement. Tacky.

Until I read through this post, I never gave any thought to my listing placements in a treasury.

Perhaps this is the true exercise here:

Should we care about placement in a treasury?
Should we rank ourselves based on how we are featured in treasury?
Should we be outraged if found in last place?
Should I contact each featured seller to see if they approve of their placement?
Should I stop making treasuries altogether for fear of offending someone?
Or
Should I just pretend this dilemma doesn't exist and continue on in my ignorance of treasuries etiquette?

Ouch! Sounds as though a gratitude check may be in order for her and I think that you just may have accomplished that with replacing her item.

I am so very grateful when someone chooses my work for a treasury. It is an honor, IMO!
