Introducing The New About Page For Your Shop

Hi sellers!

We've long ago established that telling your story on Etsy (of your product, of yourself, and of your shop) is incredibly important. Today we launched a dedicated place in your shop where you can share your story with the world. In your shop’s new About page you can add pictures of your process and talk through the special details that set your shop apart. For anyone wondering where to find your About page to edit, go to Your Shop > Info & Appearance and locate the About tab at the top of the page. You can also edit this section from the Shop Tools bar at the top of your storefront.

I love this! Just did mine too, and now I'm going to work on adding some more photos.

So fun, and I think it is really important for some types of sellers that they let the customers get a feel for who they are.

now, i have a question, my wife is a member my model, i declared her, but now that she is a "team member" does she need to create an etsy account?

Is there a photo size that is best for personal and shop photos on the About page? Several of my shots are portrait, and when I upload them, the display is defaulting is cropping the image awkwardly and I can't drag or re-position it.

Members of your shop don't necessarily need to have an Etsy account.

If they do, that's great. The more the merrier!
If not, no stress.

Having trouble with sizing. Did I miss where it says what sizing is best?

Oh.... Can I make a video or add a slide show? That would be straight up cool!

What sizing?

I really like that we can add photo's to our about page ! but I am wondering about the "my story part" I have already added that to my profile should I leave my story and inspiration in my profile and add it to my about page ? would that be repetitive?

I don't know the sizing. It's definately widescreen maybe 7:5 or even 16:9
