How should I promote my shop? I'm lacking views....

Just a suggestion - spend some time looking at the new listings that are coming onto the front page - what catches your eye? Remember, people are only seeing a thumbnail of your products as they scroll by, so you have to have pictures that are light, bright and eye catching. If you watch what catches your eye, you can look at your photo's with a fresh perspective. Also, getting into treasuries sure helps with views, again, look at your pictures with the thought of getting into someones treasury - also, try your hand at creating your own treasuries. Good luck!

I agree with sunshinecottage, lighter and brighter thumbnails to catch your eye. Also, you could start a twitter account, it's super easy. I have a totally different following there than on FB. And, do you have a FB page as your business? that way it's all about your etsy store, not mixed in with your personal stuff. (although, I post on my personal page too) You could also join the Etsian Newbie Team, they are always willing to "like"each other, exchange links, whatever. And then there's SEO. It can be tedious and time consuming, but helpful in getting you found on search engines. Search for it in Community Forums on Etsy, there is a ton about it. You could also just search the forums for "promoting", I'm sure you'd get a ton of threads.

Thank you for sharing how you are currently promoting! When you start a discussion it always helps to have some specifics so we know what direction you would like the discussion to go!

Different forms of promoting works for different shops! Since I'm a supply seller I have worked with specific artists to create tutorials showing how to use some of my tools! That has been my best promotional idea to date!

Be creative! Be innovative! Search the forums for what has worked for others! Look at your competitiors! What do they do well?
