Same month of last year I got 15 sales in total. I expect, with more promotion and more listed items, I can get over 25 sales this month. Finger-cross!
It's not bad and my revenue is up a bit from these same dates last year. But I looked at my stats from 2012 and my revenue for the first 2 weeks of November was more than double of what it is this month!
For November my sales have gone off a cliff. Ever since Etsy made its changes it has definitely lessened my sales and I hear this from so many other people. I am working to make changes to try and reverse this trend but IMO it has come at the worst time of the year to make these changes.
I've been open a month and had one sale. It clearly came from a search and my tags fitting exactly what they were looking for. I'm going to pay attention to my titles and tags more! I'm going to explore some of the links in this conversation to improve my titles and tags. Thanks for sharing ideas.
My sales have been depressingly slow. I have done everything that everyone always suggests--changed titles, tags, keywords, descriptions...everything. Unfortunately, the changes that Etsy made this year have impacted my shop in a very negative way. It looks like I'm not the only one. I've decided to stop obsessing over sales on Etsy.....it's just not the worth spending hours upon hours with zero results. I do still shop on etsy, but usually from shops I've purchased from in the past to avoid spending hours looking for one specific item.
I have always loved Etsy and always tell people about the wonderful shops that I've bought from....or not, and just love. A very close friend who used to shop on Etsy told me that she doesn't buy from Etsy any longer because when she searches for something specific...she can't find it and the results are just not what she's looking for. I asked how she was searching... she has tried different phrases, words and even misspelled on purpose with no good results. She also told me that it's just not user friendly any longer and she is shopping on other sites. THAT conversation opened my eyes even wider.
I haven't given up yet, but if things stay the same...I don't see any other option than to close my shop. I have been selling on other sites and receiving more sales than on Etsy...which is new to me. Honestly, I can't afford to keep my shop open much longer. Quite depressing.
I have been putting a lot of work into descriptions tags and photos, as well as promoting on social media (using #etsygifts) and I have seen aap growth spurt! I hope it continues on to the holidays!
Not sure what changes were made on Etsy but in the past November brought a crazy amount of sales for me. This year is SO SLOW. Actually my shop has never been this slow. I'm super worried but I"ve been working very hard at improving SEO and the sales started coming again. I hope the second half of this month will be much better.
Last year I had nearly daily sales - I have double the stock of last year, with less than 1/2 the sales. I can't help but wonder if it's a bit to do with the changes etsy has made this year?
I had a great October. In fact it was my best month since reopening my shop a few months ago. November has been sooo slow. Only 2 sales so far. Racking my brain trying to think what I've done wrong...
I opened this shop at the beginning of November last year so this is my Etsy anniversary. September was my best month to date - absolutely fantastic much better than I hoped and October was more or less the same with about £20 more in revenue but slightly less sales. So I had really high hopes for November, Christmas rush and all that . In reality - nada abysmal> I can't believe how dead it is compared with last month. I have sold 12 items so far and last month I sold more in the first week. I am not complaining a sale is a sale and I should be grateful but I did expect it to be much busier.
I have found November to be notoriously slow for me. I just checked my stats and compared them to last year and for the month of November to date my sales are the same as last year (5) and my revenue for the month this year is up. I have found my sales pick up following Thanksgiving until just before Christmas.
We had our best October ever after very slow July- September. Working on SEO and relevancy is definitely paying off. However November is still below last year. Still, we're optimistic to meet our goals.
