I've just joined the Etsy Success team and have had my shop on Etsy for about a month now. I've made two sales - though one was to a friend so I'm only counting it as one really :-)
I'm concentrating on building up Christmas stock at the moment as I have a few stalls at events coming up, but I know once that is done I need to work on getting some traffic to my site. Not sure exactly how to go about this yet but I'm assuming I need to work on SEO and on working on linking from other social media. Any advice on this would be much appreciated.
The main question I have would be about selling personalised items. I would like to be able to offer personalised wedding favours/invitations/business gifts etc. I can personalise pictures on lollies and also messgaes on the sticks and packaging. If somebody wanted to order personalised lollies there would be a charge to set up the design then the lollies would be at the standard price that all of them go for, with an extra charge per lolly if they want personalised sticks. I was just wondering what was the best way to go about incorporating this into my Etsy shop. Do I just advertise the fact that I do it and ask people to get in touch? Or are there options for personalisation that I can add to listings? I'm sure there is a simple solution to this but I just can't picture how it would work at the moment. Again, any advice would be very much appreciated.
