Just wondered as there are a lot of sellers and I've seen some gorgeous stuff on this site that I want to buy in the very near future... All comments welcome xxx
all of the presents I bought for my husband's birthday in December were from Etsy and I recently bought fabrics for more embroidery art (hooray) also from Etsy, if I had more earnings, more than likely I would spend them all right here
I buy supplies, lots of gifts, and occasionally a little something for myself. I haven't had any terrible experiences so far. Most sellers are very customer service oriented!
I totally stopped looking for anything anywhere else because I have fallen so in love with surfing through Etsy! I am slowly choosing what I buy but really think I will always come here for gifts...
I never even transfer money out of Paypal. As soon as I sell things, I turn around and buy things off Etsy. I do a lot of gift shopping (just bought my mom's birthday present) mostly. It is so much more fun to buy from a real person and have a chat about it than to just buy from a big box store. A couple times it has bit me in the butt when the sellers weren't very professional, but now I have learned what to look for - reviews, do they have policies listed, check what country they ship from first if I need the item by a certain date, etc.
I buy from Etsy! My girls also buy from Etsy, both of them got eachother their Christmas presents from here. I bought them each a present from here. I buy supplies from here....
Everytime my youngest daughter buys something she feels so proud that she made someone run around the house screaming, lol, she thinks eveyone does that when they sell something, that's what she does when she sells something, LOL!!!
Lisa D, that's hilarious about your daughter! I buy any supplies I can on Etsy, and special occasion cards, and did some Christmas shopping here. Wish I had more disposable income (ANY disposable income...) to buy the things in my Favorites!
I buy from Etsy sometimes, but it's mostly vintage clothing and shoes, not so much handmade. I love the handmade section as well, but it's often too expensive for meg. Using Etsy as a place to shop gifts is a great idea though, I would feel more comfortable splurging when it's a gift for someone else.
I buy lots of supplies off Etsy. I don't have a car anymore, so that makes it very hard for me to get out to the fabric stores hahaha. I've met some very accommodating fabric sellers who were willing to go an extra step and take pictures of fabric with a ruler so I know it would work well with my switch plates. I've gone back to some of the same shops time and time again, even if they charge 50 cents to $1 more on their fabric.
I love buying from fellow Etsy sellers. It's nice knowing that something was handmade for me and many items are one of a kind. I love the vintage stuff too...can get some great deals on here!
