I guess if you've got your tags & other descriptions adjusted for relevancy search, one of your items should show up when you search for your category, right?
I check the Etsy drop-down list that appears when you start to type in a search and use those terms in my tags. I use the Google keyword search tool to find keywords for online searches, then use those in my titles and the beginning of the descriptions.
After I fiddle with my titles & tags, I do a search for "glass bowl" "fused glass bowl" "glass plate", etc, to make sure one of my items shows up on the first page of the search.
If it doesn't, I check the titles and tags of the items that do come up on the first page, then adjust mine so they work better.
I also am starting to get quite a bit of direct traffic from cards I've handed out at art festivals. That's something that builds slowly, but in the long run can make a very stable business.
I really owe so much to all the other sellers who have shared information. That's what makes Etsy so great.
