Gift Certificates

I would like to offer Gift Certificates for my shop. I would love some help from someone who currently does this. I can easily figure out how to do it by sending and redeeming the certificate through the mail, but how to do it entirely on-line seems more complicated. Is there an easy process for doing this?

I haven't started doing it myself yet, but Etsy did write an official blog post on how you're supposed to do it and the Etsy Terms and Conditions you must abide by.

You must at least offer a pdf version of the gift card. Just sending a code isn't acceptable.

I've just started offering them in my shop. Did alot of studying beforehand and think I've come up with an easy way to do it. Read the blog post that Tiffany gave - it's really helpful.

As for how the individual can redeem the gc, I simply said that once they picked out what they wanted, they could convo me with their code, I'd make a reserved listing for them with the new price and if the cost was higher they will pay via PayPal, I'll ship and that's that. Simple is best.
