Does your shop need a Relevancy Critique??

Hi Etsy Success Friends,

All of us have been like little sponges, soaking up the tips for success this week. Sometimes we just need a fresh pair of eyes to look at our shop and say - "Hey, you forgot to use this tag!" or "You might try this title!"

The rules:
1. You are at least moderately up-to-date with the suggestions for Relevancy and
good tagging <http://www.etsy.com/teams/7716/announcements/discuss/8822575/>

2. If you pop into this thread and want to be critiqued yourself, you can join by critiquing the last shop that commented. The next person to pop in will critique you.

3. You don't have to look at every listing and every tag. . . but try to come up with a few suggestions . . .Words or Synonyms that you think would help with relevancy search.

First I'll say you do a nice job of describing your jewelry in your titles!

Tags first:
Rain cloud (rather than cloud)
Charm (along with pendant)
Wire work (rather than wire wrapped)
Sterling silver necklace (rather than “necklace” and “silver”)
Man jewelry
unisex ring

Title example:

“Orchid Photography – Tropical Sorbet – 5x7 print”

rather than

"Tropical Sorbet - 5x7 Fine Art Photography Print"

I noticed the word tray was in all but one of your tags. How about some other versions:
Large fish plate
Fish decoration (because I think it is pretty enough to display)
Fish food (Ha, this one makes me giggle but it's for serving fish on right?)
Fishing cabin (Decorators use this theme)

I would have searched on cell phone cover, not cozy or case. When I did that, none of your items came up. Also, in tags, I would put iphone, ipod, Droid, cover, case, cozy, crochet, knit (yes, it is a stretch, but some people don't know the difference between knit and crochet and are just looking for something made of yarn).
Another recommendation I've red is to put the keyword in the first line of your description also, ie "This cell phone cover case is crocheted...."
Also, for Google Searches, they don't like lots of items titled exactly the same. That is hard for you since most of yours ARE the same. Maybe do one as IPOD cover, the next as IPHONE cover, next as DROID case, next as CELL COZY, next as CELL PHONE CROCHET COVER.... get the idea? You can explain in the description, but that will at least get them to your shop in a search.

I could use some help with describing the style of some of my items. I keep saying "statement" since they are one of a kind, different and bold yet that is really not a style- This is tougher than it seems

I struggle with different descriptions because like you said the cell phone cases are all different versions of the same product.

Ok Cicale T Designs, First of all your jewelry is beautiful!
I picked one item that had the lowest amount of views, Greek Mykonos Bead Necklace.
I went to the catagory of Bead and Bead Necklace popped up. I looked through the first 4 pages but didn't find yours. I also checked Greek Jewelry and again nothing.

Here are my suggestions:
Change the title to : Pastel Bead Necklace, Greek Mykonos Beads on Sterling Chain
As for tags, i would only add bead necklace, pastel bead

I have found the title makes all the difference. I hope this helps, You have a really nice shop!

I started by typing Dichroic in the search and it gave me the auto-fill of dichroic glass pendant. With this I could not find your shop in the first couple of pages. If I did Dichroic SALE you were on the first page. You also showed up on the first page with the search dichroic fused glass pendant .

Maybe instead of SALE - Horse Pendant Blue Fused Dichroic Glass - 20% off. Change it around to SALE Fused Dichroic Glass Pendant Blue Horse 20% Off.

Your tags seem appropriate for your jewelry. Maybe add more specific colors. Your descriptions are to the point. But, what is matt gold?

This is really hard! More and more I think jewelry must be so hard because there are so many sellers. I'm sorry I don't feel like I was very helpful. I need help myself!

I finally got my tags and titles to be on the first couple of pages for all of my chosen keywords.

First off, BunnysBakedGoods, you're photography is great- very consistent and good light.

Something I noticed to be missing from the tags is "china", since that is the main material your gorgeous cake stands are made from. I could see myself searching china, or typing in the specific brand ( "Edgewood", or "Noritae China") when looking for an elegant cake stand, such as one of yours.

I like that one of the tags is "Pink Rose". Maybe, instead of having one of the tags be an etsy team (or does that truly help in shop views? I've never tagged a team name before...), maybe try utilizing the tag for another description on the tray's design, such as "Floral Pattern" or "Delicate Flowers" or "Doily Design"

Otherwise, great bunny stuffed animal! and looking forward to the baked goodies- eating vegan zucchini bread right now, actually ! Can't wait to see your stuff :)
