Does your shop need a Relevancy Critique??

Hi Etsy Success Friends,

All of us have been like little sponges, soaking up the tips for success this week. Sometimes we just need a fresh pair of eyes to look at our shop and say - "Hey, you forgot to use this tag!" or "You might try this title!"

The rules:
1. You are at least moderately up-to-date with the suggestions for Relevancy and

2. If you pop into this thread and want to be critiqued yourself, you can join by critiquing the last shop that commented. The next person to pop in will critique you.

3. You don't have to look at every listing and every tag. . . but try to come up with a few suggestions . . .Words or Synonyms that you think would help with relevancy search.

Squid21r your shop is beautiful!!!! The photos and display I think are excellent.

I'm far from being any expert but my suggestion is that you actually state what the item is.

Example:

Jewelry - handmade coral earrings
Picture or photo -
Photography


I think it's the basic words that help the item to be found. State what it actually is and give it a name at the very end (mellow blue).

I truly wish my shop looked half as good as yours. Hope you have a Great Day of Sales!

First of all great shop! I had a hard time not favoriting everything!

Descriptions- I love how you have the dimensions for your listings. I think buyers will like that, it shows you know your product. Also love how you write about the process of how you made each item. I know it takes a lot of work to create but its nice that the buyer will know how much effort you put into each item. It also justifies the price.

Tags- Your tags are very relevant but I feel like you could combine a few of them to get the same results. Such as the Dragon Scales and smoke listing, you have Cuff and Bracelet as two seperate tags when they could be combine as " Cuff Bracelet" Also you doubled this tag because etsy already had that Catagory for this item. (Jewelry- Bracelet- Cuff) Maybe look into this. Also I know Etsy suggests using two word descriptions over one word (which is different than the previous policy) Also I noticed you don't use all your tags. You should defintely put something even if its just the color of maybe a technique you used.

Price- I think you are right on with your prices. Your jewerly is high quality and worth every penny.

Pictures- You have excellent pictures. I love how you give the different views. I should take some notes from you. :)

Other than a few minor adjustments to your tags I think you have great shop! If you have any specific questions about your shop I'd be happy to help. :)

I have changed my titles and tags so many times to no avail. I would very much appreciate if someone would look at my shop. Any specific advice is so much more valuable then trying to fit my jewelry into what others are saying.

Nana - Wow, you have just about everything! I can see that you are working on titles. For the destash I would say

Vintage craft supplies purple green blue - instead of
46 PC Vintage Destash Craft Lot - "Purple Kiwi Blue"

I don't think anyone searches for 46 PC - they can see that in the discription. And the dash & quotation marks probably confuse the search
engines.

Set up international shipping profiles, it is more appealing to buyers. A pain with all the different things you sell though... But if you have a postal scale, you can get a good idea of the general cost.

In the description, it's good to repeat what is in your title, cuch as colors, etc. Then again in tags. I'd say beads instead of beading.

Tags - you have vintage too many times. Again use colors, mention crafts.

For the diaper cakes, how about
Diaper cake blue for the title to be search friendly. And use all your tags!! It is how to be found :)

I'd love a critique as well. For NanaJosTreasures, I have the following suggestions:

Change the titles to include the main object first- for example, try "Wine Glass Charms - Set of Six" instead of "6 Wine Glass Charms." You have done this for some of your listings, but others could still be improved.

Finally, try to improve your photos a bit. Some are great, but other are a little dark or blurry. Apparently relevancy also relies on the quality of photos (how, I do not know), so you want them to be as clear and appealing as possible. I recommend using natural light to take photos as they usually come out clear and show the items in their true colors.

Good luck!

Be sure to list as many materials as possible and think of ways a novice might describe the materials you use. I try to think of 3 variations of names for each of my materials (at least) if possible.

Use keyword phrases that people might use to search for your items. For example, with the wine glass charms, use the actual phrase "wine glass charms." Also try "wine charms," "glass charms," etc.

First I’d like to say your titles and photos are very attractive.
I searched “summer leather bracelet” and I came up with tons of similar products, so others are finding this type of item with this description (sadly I didn’t find any of your products through 5 pages) You need to add this phrase to some products.
Stating what the colors are in the title is great. Possibly try starting some of your listings like this:
“Summer Leather Bracelet- Blue and Silver- PACIFIC NIGHT”
as opposed to
“Pacific Night- Navy Blue and Silver Beaded Leather Bracelet”
after changing a few, keep an eye on your stats and views to see if it makes a difference.
Other synonyms that come to mind for your products are:
Casual
Bohemian
Spell check “meterainian “ I think you mean: Mediterranean

Search terms seem right on the money. What kind of fiber are you using? IS it SIlk? Is it cotton? I didnt see wing as one of the tags, and that wing really adds to the bracelet.
