Do you think item description should be short or long?

I sometimes think I have way too much in my item descriptions. Can someone give me an honest opinion?

I looked at a couple of your listings and I like how much information you are giving a potential customer about your products. However, I feel like most customers have a very short attention span when it comes to reading :) Is there a way to pare down the descriptions without losing any pertinent information?

I think they're fine. They seem "normal" to me. Some of the information is repeated. I know this is what some buyers need, but if you want to shorten them you can delete it.

See how the top if this part gives a convo link, there's an Etsy generated link at the bottom too. There are also 3 links going back to the shop. Maybe you want to eliminate 2 of them to reduce the length. Just an idea. The part about the international shipping should be in your policies, if it's not already. Then, shorten this. Just mention the increase and the refund, that should get the point across. Hope this helps.

Have you thought of putting the with it without loop as a variation? How about with or without magnet as variation?

On another topic, when are you raising your prices? Did you raise them $.50? That's it? My opinion still stands, these are $12-15 owls.

Descriptions should be more than one sentence, but not so long that the buyer falls asleep. :-)

I tell you what my English teacher always told us when we asked her how long our essay should be - "Think of it like a skirt, long enough to cover all the important parts, but short enough to keep it interesting" that is a good way to think about it.
