I will start :
my views have greatly improved
( despite etsy keep removing my main category " piercing -ear " from the category section )
I broke my own records in a few area ( views / sales / orders ).
I have to " hire " a new part time staff ( my daughter ) to help me package my orders, making sure they are all correct & fill out the custom forms.

My youngest daughter said : mom, you know the wage is aprx $7 something per hour.
Me: ( looking puzzled on purpose ) I just bought you some makeup.
That's your payment. Now please fill these out for me.

Most people like picnics and BBQs and similar summer activities, but not me. One of my favorite summer fun things to do has for many years been going to art and craft fairs. Now that I am hanging around Etsy and working on the SEO of different types of shops, I am always oohing and ahhhing over something I really like. Sign. Life is hard. :-)

My goal is to hit 50 sales this month and to get over 100 items in my shop!

We were in vacation mode for 2 weeks in July and I was very happy to see our views return to normal the same day we reopened! Last year, August was our worst month in all areas. So far we are averaging 4 times more views this August. No sales for the month yet, but we are busy stocking up on our best sellers for the holiday season. Have a great month everyone!

Grace - I would love to be so busy that I need an assistant! Although I have no daughters and my dog wouldn't be much help... so no second thought...

August goals: Build back links and tweak keywords so they're not too broad - but not so specific no one searches them.. Add at least 10 more listings to my shop, revise some old listings with not-so-great pics, and most importantly - Sell some hair bows!
Aside from Etsy, I hope to get the kids back to school looking great in some new duds!

My views and favorites have improved quite a bit, but no sales. I am going to continue to work on titles, tags & adding more items as I have the time. It has been tough to get anything done with my kids & husband home for the summer!!

My kids are home for the summer too.

My youngest kid is so busy with summer assignments for all her I.B classes
That keeps her occupied
And
I will be bringing my oldest daughter home from The University
this weekend
Hopefully, i will figure out what to cook for them!

Business is okay .... had 3 sales since the first.

Today I plan to get a little sewing time in but it will have to be later this evening since I am watching the granddaughters .... 3 yrs, 2yrs (3 next month) and an 8 month old =)

I joined this team 3-4 weeks ago to learn more about SEO and improve my shop. I started making a lot of changes to my shop and became an active shop owner instead of just letting it sit there.... I added a lot of listings too. For a long time I saw no result, but yesterday the number of views went up to above 100 for the first time:) That was a huge jump for me. It used to be 10, 11, 12....
I still have a lot to learn, AND produce! My shop still has a looooong way to go, but it made me very happy.

I am still working on SEO still and constantly, I am seeing views increase some but more importantly I am having some sales. I started selling internationally and have done mostly that. I need to continue to work on pictures and getting up to 150 listings.

I'm starting to see some of my items showing up in the first few pages of etsy search so I'm happy about that. But I still have lots to do SEO-wise with some of my listings.

Been trying to work on SEO but July is never a good month. I have noticed though, since I've worked on titles & tags, that my views went down for the summer (as they always do) but favorites have gone up relative to views. This makes me think I must be doing a better job of focusing the correct viewers to my shop. Maybe it's just wishful thinking.

I have some custom ordered pieces that I'm creating at the moment, so business is not too bad in the real world, thanks for asking, Grace! I wish I could say the same for my Etsy shop!

My goals for the month:

To ask for an SEO critique, and have the time to take on board all the feedback.

To create and list some more of my more substantial pieces.

To make an Etsy sale (that isn't a custom order :) ) to someone I don't know!

To spend some more time with my long-suffering family.... :)

Sales are much better. Been working on some customs, but need to work on some new work, so I can add some new listings.
Best news of all: my husband gave up his office and I am finally getting a new Etsy work room so I can get more organized and save some time. I am so excited. Going to work on it now. YAY!

Well views have been pretty consistent since last month, but sales are still slow. I think my SEO is ok, it's just a waiting game at this point I think to build the client base.

I've got a lot of new things I'm working on, and that I'm excited about. Today's plan.... Movies, food, and hopefully some progress lol >.< It's a very hot and humid Saturday and the beach sounds much nicer than my work table

Creative juices are just sorta tired today.

Woke up to a new sale and some convos inquiring about other items ... love that. Listed 3 items I made last night. Did the promoting stuff for all of them.

I was hoping to make more items today but am waiting on some supplies which weren't in today's mail. Not sue what I'll do ... probably clean house and catch up on some laundry.

I'm trying to list at least one item a day ... more if possible. Trying to reach 150 listings for August.

I've been doing a lot better with my daily views lately, even on days where I'm not really 'active' here, which is nice. I'm still having some trouble with a couple of my sections though, so my goal, for the next /few/ days, is to learn a little more about SEO and improve upon my weaker areas.
I've also ordered new materials for magnets that I have a really great idea for, and got a bunch of new photoshop brushes to make designs with.
I know it's not okay to post shop links, etc. but is it okay to post pictures of the materials I bought for stuff?
