No "Print Shipping Label" option

I've had a custom International order in the queue awaiting shipment for awhile now, and the "Print Shipping Label" link and option are now gone! Where did it go? Why can't I print the shipping label from Etsy any longer? It still has the "Mark as Shipped" option. The option for printing a label was just there two days ago, and now that I'm finally ready to ship...It's gone!

I know...The sale was in late November. The customer and I have been convo-ing back and forth the whole time and it was finally ready for shipping today. I'm assuming there IS a time limit and it's 3 months?

Hi just B you,

Thanks for writing in! As a seller you can set a processing time. When that date passes the ability to purchase a shipping label no longer exists. For each order, you will have one opportunity to edit the “ship by” date.

Do buyer see the processing time? I don't want to extend it since I usually do ship right away

Well, I believe I had the "ship by" date set at 1-2 weeks. However, this was a custom request and the customization took a bit longer than expected for the buyer. I've never had a paid item waiting in the queue for longer than a month. This one took almost three months, though. So - is there a time limit without a "ship by" set date?


Lauren - You're fine if you wait an extra day, or even a week or so. My case was a bit extreme because the buyer was working on his customization and I agreed to wait it out instead of cancelling the order.

Hi Lauren and just B you! These are great questions.

Lauren - As just B you noted, waiting an extra day or two to print postage is fine. The buyer does see the processing time on the receipt page, but not in the purchase confirmation email.

just B you - Yes, there is a time limit -- 12 weeks, regardless of processing time.
