Upgrade Shipping

How can I upgrade a shipping price for my customer that wants it sent by Priority mail? Can I just reserve the item for them with the right shipping price?

That's one of the problems with dc, no upgrade without going around in circles.
If your customer doesn't mind, you can invoice them through Paypal for the difference.
If your customer won't use paypal, you can cancel the order and have them repurchase at the correct rate...I think this is a horrible way to do it, very inconvenient for you and the customer, and a great way to lose a sale altogether.
What we are not supposed to do is set up a separate listing just for the shipping upgrade....This is what I would do with a customer who won't use Paypal. Yes, I do realize what I just wrote.

If they haven't bought it yet, you can change the shipping price, and reserve the listing for them. They can them purchase the listing and all the info is correct before they pay, no need to invoice.

Kathleen - to reserve a listing you just go in and edit it putting something in the title such as reserved for Kathleen. I also put a reserved image in the first photo spot and note in the beginning of the description the same thing and ask if you're not this person plese do not purchase, however, you I welcome you to contact me to set up a custom item of your own.
