DC and Taxing the Shipping Charge

Sorry if this is already a thread that I couldn't find but I just did a shipping refund (1st time on DC) and it also credited sales tax. In California, shipping isn't taxable (handling is). Is there a way to not include tax on shipping in DC? (My Sales Tax choices do not have the box clicked to include tax on shipping.) Thanks~

you can just put in the amount you want to refund, you don't have to do any set amount

The issue is that shipping charges are being taxed, which is not correct for California.
