Printing with no border?

Hello everyone, so I've found when I print a full page image on my printer, there is always a border with no printed ink, no matter if I select scale image or not. I've tried printing from preview on my Mac as well as Photoshop or Illustrator, but still no change. Am I missing a setting? My printer is a Canon Pixma

The border can be a great option for framing ;)

I have always print a border on my wall arts for easy framing.

Oh okay, so it's not a bad thing? I was worried a print with no full bleed wouldn't be wanted but I guess it would make more sense since my actual art size is 8x10 and the paper is 8.5x11, thank you!

Re: Printing with no border?

Hi Kirsten! I actually work at a print shop as my "real" job and the only way to not have a broder around an image is to print on a larger sheet of paper then trim it down. Even with the large press we use at work, if a customer wants an image to the edge of the paper, we have to print it on a larger sheet then trim it down. Hope that makes sense/helps!
