Printing 101

Hi I am printing and 8 10 image I create in illustrator and then printing it on an standard 8.5 by ll inch cover paper and I love the way my word art has come out but the image is not printing in the center of the page. Hope you understand? How Do I go about fixing this? And what photo editing do you use to fix your photos of your items? I just got picasa?

Re: Printing 101

When you print, a lot of print drivers have a "center image" button to click. otherwise all images will auto justify to the top left of the page. If you cant find this feature, you can always place your artwork in the center of an 8.5x11 document in illustrator. Then when you print, it will be as close as possible to the sheets center.

I use Adobe Photoshop for all photo and bitmap image adjustments.

Re: Printing 101

okay then the second option sounds easy to do. Right now my art boards are set up as 8 by 10. So I can just set my art board to 8.5 x 11 and then center my 8X 10 frame in the center and should then be okay. Is this what you mean?

Yes this is what is happening with my prints-they print all weird on the top left corner or right corner and it makes my final print look crooked and unprofessional. Thank you so much for your help Michael!
