Whether you have been part of the Etsy Denver team for two+ years or two minutes introduce yourself in this thread. We hope you scan the intros often to find collaboration opportunities on projects, promote each other and buy from each other to boost local small business first. Keep it pithy, even linking to outside about pages for more info. Good luck and use #EtsyDenver out there on social media!

Re: Introduce yourself

I am Joanna Whitney. I am a fine artist selling my work and my psychic scrying drawings with readings on Etsy. I am always looking for new ways to promote my work and I believe in Collaboration and cooperation. I have gone so far as to try to organize a worker cooperative for Denver which is different than a member coop but thus far, I have not been able to do that. In the meantime, I work at a gas station and continue to make art and sell it on line... etsy, mystic bid, bonanza, ebay, etc.

Re: Introduce yourself

Hi - I am Jane from Just Plain Jane. I just moved from Littleton to Bailey Colorado. I am excited to enter the holiday season with my two feet on the ground. Last year my niece (who ships my items out from Nebraska) and I were just getting used to Etsy and how all of it works. We are very thankful for the teams and getting more views and favorites from everyone.

My shop includes all aspects of plastic. Starting with Friendly plastic 26+ years ago, I got into recycling plastic bags and gift cards in the past 10 years. My etsy shop encompasses all of them. It is fun to share in the crazy all over the US and world with etsy!

Re: Introduce yourself

Hello everyone!!!

I'm also fairly new to the etsy world. I used to sell needle felted items but now sell gemstone jewelry! I've always been an artistic person but jewelry is my passion. Since moving to CO two years ago I've fallen in love with the many gemstone stores around here and decided that I had to incorporate this love into my jewelry design. Re: Introduce yourself

Hi Denver,

I enjoy all types of crafts and am in the process of seriously setting up my shop. I finally have my first in stock listing up. I am also working on getting more inventory of my wonderful items. I hope to have them up soon. I have been working on some really cool pumpkins to use as decorations for the fall. I really am looking forward to getting my custom snowmen up as I am hoping they will be a big hit.

Right now I have some really cute owl hats for babies listed and have many in stock. I am welcome to all suggestions of colors on most of my products.

Thank you and I happy to be on Team Denver!

Re: Introduce yourself

Hello All - my shop went live on the 30th of September. What? Only one bag? Yes, that's correct - but don't worry - there's a lot more to come. I just had to get the shop started because I keep getting stopped about my bag - figured I had to start somewhere. Right now my focus is on bags - waxed cotton canvas - with a more feminine slant. You'll also begin to see some lip goodies as well. Looking forward to connecting in the near future!

Re: Introduce yourself

Hello Everyone!

Thank you so much for inviting me to this super group of crafty Denverites (I think I just made that up :)

Anywho, I am new to Etsy ((I opened my shop in April and did nothing with it b/c I didn't really know what to do with it). I am still trying to figure it out and would love to learn here!!

I make organic & natural bath & beauty products (currently I am just selling my soaps on Etsy but I make eco soy candles, lip balms, body spray, lotions, body scrubs, etc).

Smiles!
Steph

Re: Introduce yourself

Hello fellow Denver Artists!
I'm a local artist/maker from North Denver. I create fine art illustrations, paintings, and photography that explores nature, its design and relationships. You can see my fine art on my website, Jana Hope.com, and also follow my blog there. I have been showing my work since May 2013. At my first showcase, I had a giveaway for a jewelry print of my fine art. With such a huge response to the piece, I decided to start my etsy shop a few weeks later.

You can find prints of my artwork on jewelry in my shop, along side fine art prints, mini-painting ornaments, and sketches and studies. I make all of my prints myself out of the co-working space Converge, located in the RiNo arts district.

Re: Introduce yourself

I am Kristal Jones and I have always enjoyed doing crafts. My specialty is knitting. I love to make hats, scarves, stuffed toys, and my favorite is my snowman. My knitted snowman is unique because it stands on its own and you (the buyer) gets to choose the color of scarf and hat they get. I sold 3 with Bronco colors during the Super Bowl last year. I accept Custom Orders and if anyone is looking for anything I do not have in my shop just send me a message to see if I can make it.
I also enjoy doing woodworking, painting glass and ceramics, basket decorations.
As of right now I am trying to work on getting inventory together for each of my products.
Please check out my shop and favorite me if you would like.

Re: Introduce yourself

Hi everyone I have been in Colorado for many years. I met my husband, and best friend and married him. Twenty years later we have a family that enjoys creativity. My son loves to design more masculine items. Where my daughter is a big Bronco fan and tends to design may items that support the Broncos. Hi there! I am new to this team and wanted to get connected with other etsy business owners in the Denver area. I make baby items in my shop. My big seller is my baby anklets/bracelets for twins! I am trying really hard to get my shop name out there and market but it is really hard. I haven't had very many sales lately. I only had 3 sales for November :( Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Re: Introduce yourself

Hello!

I crochet and knit items to keep people warm. I love scarves the best, but have a hoard of nieces and nephews so I have baby blanket as well and I just listed my first afghan!

I got into crafting because of my grandmother (who is 101 this year!) who is always quilting and crocheting. All of her 42 grand, great-grand, and great-great-grand children have a handmade blanket from Grandma Joe and they are our absolute favorites!

I'm just starting out on Etsy, but I want to share my handmade items and I'm looking forward to being a part of the Denver team!

Re: Introduce yourself

Howdy folks -

Opened shop a week ago, and just found this group. Super excited to start conversing, and meeting everyone!

Here's who the heck am I in a few lines:

My "day job" is running a branding and design studio here in Denver (http://designfiles.net/) -- 14 years strong and still love it!

I have one of my three kids left at home, and she's starting her cosmetology degree in January.

I knit, sew, crochet, and garden like a nut.

Recent side love is doTerra essential oils (I blog about them with my sister here: http://myoromi.com/)

I started my shop after years and years of friends and family telling me "you should totally open an etsy shop with that" (https://www.etsy.com/shop/BitsiBi)

Right now my shop has some rice heating pads. Some are pre-made ready to ship, our you can order custom made (with optional essential oils!)

I will be adding more hand made goodies including hats, scarves, knitting needle holders, and a few other items that have been requested.

I"ll be poking around the the discussion, liking you all on facebook, and looking forward to getting to know you!

Re: Introduce yourself

Hi all, my name is Chandra and I just moved to the Centennial area from Japan with my husband and infant son. I've lived in Boulder years ago but am fairly unfamiliar with this part of Denver so I'm hoping to make some local friends in the Etsy community. I was part of the Etsy Japan team and participated in group booths and promoting Etsy in Tokyo and had a great time with the other members. I hope I can team up with other local crafty people for shows here as well. If there are any crafty meet ups in the Centennial area let me know, I would love to join in!

A little about my shop; I make environmentally friendly stuffed toys out of reused materials such as old sweaters and blankets, everything in my shop is 100% hand stitched, no sewing machine is used, this is partly to reduce my electricity usage and partly because hand stitched toys are more durable, pull a stray thread on a machine sewn toy and it comes apart but hand stitching just tightens. I love making stuffed animals of all sorts and have a special line of comic book related plush I call the Comic Cats, the Comic Cats have so far been my most popular items.

Hello everyone!

I just opened my shop. I'm not new to Etsy, as I have been a shopper using another account.

I screenprint designs onto super soft shirts using waterbased ink. I plan to add onesies, women's shirts, and hoodies in the future if things take off for my business.

I would love any advice :)

Thanks!

Hello everyone!
My name is Athena. I am a stay at home mom of two wonderful kiddos in Littleton. I just started Teddy and George about two months ago selling pure and simple beauty products. About a year ago, I started making lotions and sugar scrubs to give out as gifts and everyone kept asking for more of them so I decided to turn it into a business.

I am so glad to be part of a local team!

Hi Everyone. My name is Abby and I live in the Littleton area. I have been on Etsy for almost two years. I don't sell very well on it but I do great at craft shows. That is my big thing and I am looking forward to adding more to my schedule this year.

I love making my beaded bracelets with Czech glass and natural stone beads. I love the Western look they have and I'm thinking of even trying to sell at a rodeo this year. Looking forward to reading more threads!
