Re: Introductions Please

Hello crafty people!

I am Sreesha and I make jewellery from my home studio in London. I spend my time writing for blogs and magazines and making jewellery. It's so nice to see such passionate and encouraging people here.

Currently, I run an online jewellery shop on etsy and plan to expand my small business greatly over 2013, just you wait and see ;) I'm generally a little hyper & excited about life when it comes to topics ranging from fashion to food. I also love exploring new cities and secret hideouts!

So lovely to meet you all.

Kindest.

Re: Introductions Please

Good morning everyone!

My name is Anna - aka Papercut Writer. I design and handmake typographical papercuts. I also love to make bespoke pieces for people. They are so personal and I love hearing the story behind each one.

I'm a born and bred Londoner and am currently living in South London with my lovely boyfriend, dreaming about being able to have a dog one day.

I have been selling my papercuts for about 4 months now, so still wet behind the ears but learning all the time.

I love bright colours and think a life without chocolate and garlic (separately) would be a life not worth living!

Re: Introductions Please

Hi All!

My name is Christina and make jewellery primarily from acrylic, shrink plastic and resin. I have been making and selling for around 6 years now. I love having a creative outlet outside of my 9-5 job.

You can usually find me making a fool of myself, napping or drinking tea! I have a gorgeous fluff ball of a hamster called Floyd who operates as quality control of everything I make. He watches over me very intently when I am working.

I am based in Ystrad Mynach, near Caerphilly in South Wales.

I would really love to come over and do a fair in London soon :)

Re: Introductions Please

Hi there!
My name is Tim & I live in a bin. Well, south London, but it's similar to a bin so that's not entirely untrue. I draw weird things & do some lettering. I've been on Etsy for a while now but this is the first team I've joined since I didn't really know what they were until I saw a link on Twitter & randomly clicked it. My top tip is don't live in zone 4 if you can help it because it's miles from anything interesting! ;)

Re: Introductions Please

Hi all! My name is Katie & I'm from the Isle of Man, but I currently live in north London. I graduated from UCA Farnham last summer & studied printed textiles, & although I don't have the facilities to keep up my screen printing, I do my best to bring interesting textile techniques into my accessory making. I love vintage & trawling markets, charity shops & car boots for treasures & have a macabre love of taxidermy (despite being a vegetarian!).

Oh & my favourite colour is dark green

Re: Introductions Please

Hello everyone,

I'm Charmaine, I started littlenestbox a couple of years ago. I sell kids decor (and some for adults too!), mainly mobiles, garlands and cushions.

I live in Walthamstow in London, though we won't be here for much longer as we are in the process of buying a little house in Essex :)

Walthamstow's lovely though, the William Morris Gallery is just down the road and there are lots of nice pubs, which is always good!

Re: Introductions Please

Hi there you talented crafters, I am Amanda and I make beautiful jewellery ( if I say so myself)! I live in Norwood SE London, which has great transport links so that I can get my supplies quickly..... I need to touch them sometimes. I have been actively selling on Etsy for the last year, along with my own website, other online retailers and markets. 2012 was a fantastic year for my jewellery which led to a recent feature in Tatler magazine ;). Hope to see some of you on my journey in 2013..... And best of luck to you all!

Re: Introductions Please

Hello! I'm Elena and I make, live and sell from Brixton, London (I also travel further afield sometimes!). I hand knit copper and recycled silver and use vintage and upcycled beads to make unique and colourful one-off pieces. I also work for a social enterprise teaching needlework to prisoners across the UK which certainly keeps things interesting. My top tip is the Makers Market in Brixton, 2nd Saturday of the month where you'll usually find me selling my wares and favorite colour, well that's a hard one but I'm currently coveting chartreuse!

Hello! I make jewellery mostly from recycled materials. I experiment a lot and it keeps me entertained. Most of my pieces are Steampunk style. Do have a peek at my shop. Happily though, my shop is always practically empty :)

My top tip for Etsy is sell what you love. Hope to visit one of your fairs soon! Wanted to this month but I've just moved house! I live in Brighton & refuse to move!

Hello my name is Zoe. Like Camilla I like grey and yellow although I'm more into cake than biscuits. I like in Shrewsbury, Shropshire and I love the variety of coffee shops mixed with a short walk to the open hills. Bliss. I make a variety of things from laser cut brooches to hand sewn cushion covers.

Re: Introductions Please

Hellooo

I'm Ella, I live in Norwich. It gets a bad rap up here in the East but it's really very pretty and Norwich has lots going on in terms of arts and designers and some ace independent shops and bars. If you ever visit The Playhouse is kooky as anything, remember to look up at the ceiling when you're at the bar.
And if you're after Tea and Cake, then Biddy's Tea Room is the sweetest kitshest tea shop with mismatched furniture and teacups galore for afternoon tea and cucumber sandwiches.

I'm an illustrator and designer. I also teach BA graphic design and illustration online to some fab students at IDI part time. My work has more than a bit of feline influence combining my illustration with accessories too.

I lived in London for a few years (Streatham, West Norwood and tooting Broadway) so reading through many of your posts about where you all are brings back many fab memories!
