Re: Introductions Please

Hello! My name is Camilla and I like grey and yellow. And biscuits. (They don't have to be grey and yellow though.) I make lots of things, all based around the story of a magical imaginary circus called Butterscotch + Beesting. I used to live in London (the Hackney/Stokey bit) but now I live in Sheffield where there are lots more hills. x

Re: Introductions Please

Good Evening everyone!

I live by the sea and very happily spend my days designing and making whimsical toys like dinosaurs and gingerbread men! I write a blog all about my adventures, which usually involve me being knee deep in fabric and surrounded by felt and buttons! I run lots of different workshops and I love sharing new skills with other people, through a great variety of workshops and tutorials which are on my blog.

Re: Introductions Please

Evening!
I’m Yvette and I produce silk-screened textiles, unique toys, decorated ceramics and homewares in lovely East Dulwich. I am inspired by many things: 1950’s children’s book illustrations, especially the colourful, witty work of Miroslav Sesek and Paul Rand; the joy of childhood and its many memories; and a love of natural fabrics, pattern and vintage buttons. At weekends can often be found just up the road at the Horniman Museum, it's a truly fascinating place full of surprising finds. x

Re: Introductions Please

Hi everyone,

I'm Laura and I live and work in North London with my family of two girls and husband. I love being a illustrator, artist, crafter and blogger and spend most days drawing. Nature and animals inspire me although I love living in the city. On days off you will find me in Central London, roaming the colourful streets, markets, shops and galleries.
I gave up "the day job" about a year ago to solely concentrate on my artwork which has made me very happy indeed. My Etsy Shop, Lamb & Fox is slowly filling up and I hope to sell more this coming year.
Slowly getting the hang of joining groups and teams on Etsy.....I'm a bit of a novice!

Re: Introductions Please

Hi guys!

I'm Alice, I struggle to pin down a favourite colour but it might be green. At the moment anyway..
I went full time last November and do lots of illustration odd jobs, usually involving my birds in hats! I've lived in London for nearly 5 years now, mainly in South East aaaand the only regular bit of my 'job' is a Sunday pitch at the Backyard market in Brick Lane where I drink lots of tea and sell birds in hats! :) x

Re: Introductions Please

Hello!
I'm Cecily,
I've lived in London for 7 years now since moving here as a terrified 18 year old from rural South Yorkshire. I make homewares, stationery and do drawings to commission. I've been full time on 'Cecily Vessey' for about a year and half. I live in Kennington and my favourite place is the stretch of river in front of the Houses of Parliament. I go their when I have low productivity days/when it all gets a bit much and it soon gets me back on track!

Re: Introductions Please

Hello,
I'm Sally and I live in South east London with my 3 children, husband and dog Tulley (not necessarily in that order!)
I machine knit and sew cushions, toys and blankets - mainly on the kitchen table with my children eating toast or doing homework beside me, life is hectic but fun!
I love east Dulwich as you can go for a walk in the wild and muddy Dulwich woods, then step on a bus into London Town, best of both worlds!

Re: Introductions Please

Hello All,

I am an illustrator working in south London. I love to print when I can, doodle by hand or on the computer. I love the satisfaction of a well made thing, and most of all I love the outdoors. Whether its country or urban it's for me! Just love getting mucky really.

I also work with food and love the tactile and creative things that can be achieved with it. This is where I work drinkshopdo.com, it's really nice, you should visit. It's rather great!

So that's me!

Nice to meet you all x

Hello, I'm Leah and I'm the creator of Juan is Dead. I make Day of the Dead inspired mosaics and other related things. I live in SE London near Crystal Palace park - the park is definitely worth a visit if only to see the dinosaurs that were made in 1852 and now apparently don't look right :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crystal_Palace_Dinosaurs

Re: Introductions Please

Hi all!

I am Stacie, born and bred Londoner who has now somehow ended up living in the countryside in a village between Cambridge and Bedford.

I work full time selling illustrated greeting cards, art prints and stationery items as Stacie Swift Illustration.... lots of my work is brightly coloured and quite aptly features foxes :)

... Here's a little example: https://www.etsy.com/listing/103185342/dancing-foxes-card

I'm not sure about a top tip but can say my favourite thing about being a new-found country girl is looking out of the studio window onto lots of green - and various animals (today I can see chickens and some farm dogs) xx

Hi! I'm Becci and I am a graphic artist. I have just re-opened my shop and currently sell greeting cards but have many more items in the pipeline. I love cake and vintage shopping. I live in Leicester and I suppose you could say something exciting about where I live is that they have just found King Richard lll 's body about a mile down the road from me.

Re: Introductions Please

Well Hello There! I'm Vicky and I'm also stars&scars. I make colourful plastic jewellery, and papercut artwork. I spend half my time in Croydon and half in Mitcham, not particularly exciting places! My top tip is just down the road in Tooting - the Tooting Tram pub which hosts the Crafty Pint workshops every month, I've taught lots of people how to make shrink plastic jewellery, everyone wide eyed in amazement as it shrank ^_^
Nice to meet you all! :D x

Re: Introductions Please

Hi I'm Clare,

I've been working on my Lil3birdy range since 2011 designing/producing stationery and homeware products. I love what I do and am very inspired to sketch animals and experiment with colour. I've lived in all parts of London (North, South, East and West) for five years now but recently moved out to Surbiton for more space. One of the best decisions I made. X
