Views to Sales Conversion - Want to know yours?

Knowing how many views you need to make a sale can really help you to understand your business better and what is required by way of marketing.

For example, if you know that you need 30 views to make 1 sale, this is a high conversion rate and means that you don't need a whole load of traffic to achieve sales. It also means that you clearly have a product people want or need.

If on the other hand, you need 500 views to make 1 sale, this is a low conversion rate. This could mean that there are issues with your shop that need addressing like photography, pricing etc., that you are not selling something people want or need or simply that you have a high end market product.

Knowing this conversion rate can really help you and this is why I am offering to give you this for free. If you want to know what your conversion rate is, just post here and I will let you know in this thread.

Figures will be based on the entire duration your shop has been open.

@YourHandmadeWreath Without doing a full critique, it's too time consuming for me to go through your store and know exactly how you can improve sales. At glancing quickly, I can see issues with the way your listings are set up. The text is too minimal and the keywords are not in the correct place. I also don't know what kind of promotion you are doing as your store is not connected to Facebook or Twitter.

@Rozenhandmade Without doing a full critique, I cannot be specific as to the reasons why your conversion is so low. It could be relating to your price point, your type of product (ie perhaps there's little demand), not enough product choice or the fact that you're not promoting yourself to your target market.

I would love any help offered, Im getting lots of views and likes but no sales. i know i need some work on my photos. I have been working so m any hours over christmas i never seemed to be around in the daytime for any good light.

@djfleesh 1 to 133 - If you're getting more traffic but not more sales, then there could be issues with things like your photography or your pricing (just for example). Also ensure that you have a good returns policy to give Buyer confidence.
