Views to Sales Conversion - Want to know yours?

Knowing how many views you need to make a sale can really help you to understand your business better and what is required by way of marketing.

For example, if you know that you need 30 views to make 1 sale, this is a high conversion rate and means that you don't need a whole load of traffic to achieve sales. It also means that you clearly have a product people want or need.

If on the other hand, you need 500 views to make 1 sale, this is a low conversion rate. This could mean that there are issues with your shop that need addressing like photography, pricing etc., that you are not selling something people want or need or simply that you have a high end market product.

Knowing this conversion rate can really help you and this is why I am offering to give you this for free. If you want to know what your conversion rate is, just post here and I will let you know in this thread.

Figures will be based on the entire duration your shop has been open.

I think mine one is pretty high too but could you check it for me please? I am selling in other online gallery that charges a big comission so my prices are quite higher there than in etsy and more people buy from that website than directly from me... I think I am doing a poor job with advertising and promoting my items.
By the way after joining craftori I have got quite more views.

@artybit1 to 309 - I think you mean 'low', not 'high'. I high conversion rate is good, a low one is not, yours is average. You need to put your prices up! Do it immediately. If you sell art at a lower price than the galleries that represent you, you could find that the galleries stop representing you. Moreover, it is unprofessional and bad practice to have different prices online, no matter where your work is being sold. This is what Recommended Retail Prices are for.

Also, with art, if you don't put a value on your work, no one else will. I can't stress it enough, put your prices up to fall in line with what others are charging for your work. (PS I'm an artist with many years experience). :-)

@AphyNAngelDesigns 1 to 293 - Without doing a full shop critique, it's hard for me to give you specific advice. One thing I did notice is that there are issues with your photography but also that you don't have anywhere near enough products. You have to give people much more choice. You can get a shop critique from my shop.
