Sorry I've been MIA for a while but my partner had a massive heart attack last week and ended up having emergency bypass surgery as a result. After 9 days in hospital he's home now and beginning the road to recovery.
Someone was mentioning tea a while back. In the past I've purchased some lovely teas from Teaman here on Etsy as gifts and people just loved them.
Hopefully we will have a bit of a cooling off spell soon but not a terribly cold winter.
@crochetgal, I'm so sorry to hear that. My goodness, what a terrible time for you. Let's hope he recovers very quickly.
My son is an expert on tea and he buys lovely ones from the local indoor market; There is a specialist there. I've drank the most delicious teas but don't ask me what they were! lol I may check out Teasman to see if I could get some tea as a Christmas gift for my son.
Good morning peeps - hope it's okay to introduce myself here :)
My partner & I live in North Carolina - I'm a vintage fashionista and she's a licensed silversmith and rockhound - with two of our kids (ages 20 and 17) and our critters, which currently means a potbelly pig, three dogs, three cats, and 7 rats - so yes, it's kind of a zoo around here - both kids work in animal rescue so it's just gonna happen, right?
We have three etsy shops, and we're currently working really really hard to transition completely over here and leave the Other E Word in the dust...
I'm really looking forward to getting to know at least a few of you - thanks for having me!
Brrrrr......it was cold this morning when I woke up. 49 degrees (f) cold. And it is supposed to be back up to 90 this weekend. Make up your mind, Mother Nature!
HI...CJ! Just wanted to welcome you! I had a look at your shop Gypsum Moon Style, and I think its great! Love your Blue Green Rhinestone earrings! And Joyce!...your painted tile is terrific! Great job!
Hi there:-) Just wanted to pop in and say hello, all the way over from Denmark:-) Hi!!! I actually have a shop birthday here on the 12th of sep. Been here 2 years now. Oh my, how time flies;-) My name is Susanne, i live in Denmark, running fulltime shopmanager as a dayjob, managing a growing succes here on etsy(hoping to quit dayjob within another year) family, just bought a house and have a family too. Sounds really nuts when i tell it like that;-D Just finished photoshoot on sunday with my photographer friend and a gorgeous model. So exited for the future. It may actually turn into a fulltime shop here:-)
Hi Susanne. Are you still having warm weather in Denmark? It's very hot here in France still. I'm hoping to get an hour to swim in the lake this afternoon. It may be my last chance this year! Must make the most of it.
Really rainy here today. Allthough they promise lovely weather this weekend, so counting on eating on campfire on saturday. Should be a lot of fin with my brothers children visiting:-) Enjoy the swim;-D
A campfire sounds wonderful! We're not allowed any kind of fires here yet, I guess we could get a BBQ going but we're vegetarian so that makes it a little more tricky. Will have to check out some recipes actually. It would be lovely on a clear evening.
My swim was lovely although the lake is getting a little colder. Took my breath away at first but was fine once I got used to it. I'm going to try again tomorrow, they've promised another hot day. Must make the most of it.
Thinking about going apples picking with my kids this weekend. I want homemade apple blossoms. Have you ever gone apples picking? Fresh, crunchy apples right from the tree are the best. Oh, and thanks for this "non biz" chat thread! :)
We were going to have a campfire at my parents place last weekend, but my nephews and niece were the ones who really wanted it and they had to go to bed before the grownups. *sigh* Ah, youth. (They are all under five, and bedtime was right as the sun was going down.... Maybe when they're older, it'll be easier for them to stay awake for campfires.)
I am jealous of both of you guys! I would love to be sitting around a campfire or apple picking! Unfortunately I am currently ill & huddled up with a hot chocolate, willing myself better for work on Sunday :(. Holiday in 4 weeks though! Whoop!
@Lang, I had loads of fruit trees in the garden of an old house I lived in. We have peaches, apricots, apples, pears, figs and walnuts. It was absolutely heavenly! It's my dream to have it again one day.
@Maggie, poor things were too tired! lol Aw, they're still so little. The only way I could keep mine up at that age was to make them have a sleep in the day which I did occasionally for special events.
@LoveOfChocolat, poor you! I so hope you feel better soon. You need to be in tip-top condition for your holiday! Eat some chocolate, that'll help. :-)
