Hi everyone, new member here. Donna....I feel your pain. So tired of 100+ degrees here in Southern CA. This time of year it should not be this hot!!! Come January I will probably be complaining of the cold.
@Crochetgal. That sounds lovely! We've actually had rain here the past two days! And it's cooled the temps down quite a bit. Here in upper Minnesota, we've hardly had any rain all summer. We had on huge storm the end of June, and other than that it's been dry and hot! So, this cool, rainy weather feels soooo good!
@Bobbie, probably best to ask about shipping profiles in the business thread. There is no specific thread for it.
Here in France it is definitely getting a little chilly. The fuel was delivered yesterday and we just need to get some wood for the woodburner. We'll be all set for cozy winter days in front of the fire then!
Actually, I've not had enough sun yet so I'm a little sad at the thought of winter coming. Still, having moved to a warmer climate in June did mean that we had warm weather for much longer than before so I really should not be complaining. lol
Hi Maria and Sinead! Glad you're on board. What's your summer been like in Dublin? My daughter lives in Liverpool and said it was a really hot summer in the end although slow to start.
@ Maria and Sinead, hi there, just want to say I love Dublin!. Had a short visit about 4 years ago and we are trying to make plans to go again. Good luck with your shop here! Kathy
Good morning everyone! I'm new to the team, though have been following Craftori on Twitter for quite some time. :)
I'm originally from Michigan, USA but now living in Texas. I LOVE reading about y'all living/visiting outside of the U.S. Let's see...what else?....umm I'm a coffee addict, crochet is not only my business but what I do for fun. I'm a mom to a 22 year old daughter, happily married to a recently discharged Navy man whom I lovingly call "the wrench". (He's a mechanic & the wrench in my logo is for him haha.)
Anyway, I hope to get to know y'all better! :) Wishing y'all lotsssss of sales! ~Lynette
I live in Central Ontario and many people think it is northern Ontario because is it 2 hours north of Toronto. I used to live in Sudbury which is 4 hours north of TO. My daughter went to school in Thunder Bay which is 12 hours north of Sudbury and 16 hours north of TO. And there is still lots more of Ontario north of Thunder Bay. I just find this funny that they call my new home northern Ontario. Maybe they should look at a map. I have no intention of offending people with this truth, a little humor from me.
I recently moved from the Pacific to the Atlantic side of the U.S. I am a retired special needs teacher and just loving my new-found crafting time:) Being close to the grandkids is the best part of our move.
My husband and I love to travel and now have some time to do it. Have yet to get to Canada, there are so many beautiful spots in the U.S. to see as well. We have been to Europe, most recently to the U.K. and Portugal. Nice to meet you!
I have "technically" been to Canada once. Drove over the bridge from Detroit & back through the tunnel just to say "we've been there" haha. I have, however, seen quite a bit of U.S. country, though this is the furthest west I've been. My husband is former Navy, so we've lived in Mississippi, Georgia, and lastly Virginia (which if I won an all expense trip with a chauffeur I wouldn't go back). When he got discharged due to force reductions, we decided to make Texas our home.
Hi , my name is Dora and I'm from Sicily , yes, that little island in the Mediterranean Sea. Well , not so small after all , population of Sicily is 6,000,000 people -six miliion. I live in the South East of Sicily in a town called Syracuse- Siracusa in Italian - Every year thousand and thousands of people visit Siracusa as it was one of the most powerful towns of the "Greater Greece" and there are loads of Greek and Roman remainings . Our most important citizen of all times was ARCHIMEDES who discovered the buoyant force that make bodies float in a fluid , called Archimede's Principle .!
Hello Dora! I very much would like to visit Sicily. It's on my "bucket list" along with Australia, though not real sure if it will ever happen haha! I would love seeing the Greek & Roman sights I'm sure. :)
Methinks Blackberry's memory is a little muddled - you would need to diet drastically, don a white skin tight costume and go as Gollum to be able to hiss "my preciousssssss". For Hobbits, you need VERY big feet, and shrink to about 3ft 6".Never mind, the thought of travelling to New Zealand is wonderful. I haven't checked where in the world you are, but in the UK, there's an afternoon series -"Wanted Down Under" where UK families take a week in Aus or New Zealand to see whether the situation is suitable for them. Very interesting. See you all later - Marlene.
hello Lynette , thanks for your welcome ! Oh Sicily is a wonderful land , but as many other lans too! and it certainly deserves a visit in one's life . I would love to go Australia too I have friends there that I met in Sicily and who knows , I may be going one day. I hope
