Hi. Thanks for inviting us in! My husband and I live in western NC with our two rescue dogs Rusty (about 12 years old) - a German Shepherd/Chow mix and Kira (almost 3 years old) - some kind of weird Terrier mix with blue eyes. Kira is on the avatar of one of our other shops.

We are totally self employed with 3 shops here, 2 booths at a B&M, selling on another "e" site, and our summer "job" doing art/craft shows. We make found object metal art - which came about after the factory where my husband worked shut down.

I had a full-time job in retail for almost 20 years until I got fed up one day and quit - April 5 it will be 2 years ago. Amazingly, I stopped having migraine headaches after I left.

My husband is a "car guy" and we LOVE flea markets. In our "spare" time we sell a little at antique shows, flea markets, car shows, and a couple of other places.

We rarely get a vacation, but we go to the beach when we can. Even then, we spend a lot of time running around looking for "stuff" - its a sickness. LOL

Time to confess: I actually belong to teams in my other shops and really have no idea what I'm supposed to do. I feel terrible that I got invited and seem like a slacker.

Hi there I'm Gabrielle I've been on Etsy for a little over a year. I love to read, especially the classics such as anything by Jane Austen. I also like old movies like Gone with the Wind and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Also I love to do embroidery. I cross-stitch, do petit point and blackwork. If you would like to see any of my projects feel free to check out my store. I also like to paint and draw. My favourite media to use is acrylic on canvas. I love pop art! As for tv shows I recently have gotten my fiancé addicted to Doctor Who... Yes I am a bit of a geek but I love love love Matt Smith! Who wouldn't Lol. Also I like anime and cooking shows. Hi, I live in Pasadena, Maryland. I have 3 etsy shops and all are related to painting. I have 2 adult children and one grandchild, a husband of 38 years and a cockapoo. Luigi (the cockapoo) loves to climb all over the laptop when I'm on it so if I make a few typos, you will know why.

I am retired and I enjoy painting (as you can tell from 3 shops) and travelling.

I love to sew. Always housework first. I love antiques..my house is full!
I am mostly a stay-at-home Mom until I have to go out and work outside the home.

I am a painter. I live in northern California - just across the Golden Gate Bridge from downtown San Francisco. I love living here! Beautiful beaches, mountains, lakes, wine countries, great restaurants, etc. etc are all within in short walk or drive away. Yes, I am bragging :)

in my leisure time, besides painting, I usually take a long walk with my dog, get together with my friends, or stroll around in nearby downtowns. I also LOVE traveling although I have not been able to do much these days.

I am very passionate about enriching my life. That is why I took a leap of faith to pursue my art four years ago after spending over two decades in Corporate America. Not easy to make living as an artist, but I thrive in this life style I've chosen. Hope you are enjoying your life and the adventure you are in too.

Hello everyone. And thank you for the invitation!

As you can see my name is Dawn. I live in Union Grove, Wi. with my hubby, my youngest daughter Sarah, our dog, a few rescue cats and Sarah's snake. Seems crowded but it's not. I also have 2 daughters in collage. Emily who goes to UW La Crosse and Amanda who goes to UIC in Chicago.
I am a semi-retired stay at home mom. Even though the girls are all adults they still keep me busy at times.
For the most part I live a pretty boring life.
I love to travel, I am on day 107 of being a non-smoker, and I am a member of Weight Watchers.
I spend most of my days crocheting and trying to stay out of the kitchen!

I posted here earlier and Boy, it felt good to get some things off my chest!

I live with my hunny bunny in So Calif. Close enough to the San Gabriel mountains to get cold, but 30 miles east of LA to get warm during the summer.

I had been collecting things for over 30 years. Which makes me what, 31??? Yeah I wish...Tomorrow is my son's 36th birthday. He & his wonderful wife live in PCB Florida. My other son moved 2 years ago with his girlfriend of 12 years from Cape Cod MA to PCB Florida after too many cold winters. And the housing is so much less than the Cape. He is 34. And I hear rumblings that there may finally be a wedding soon for those two...I just love the women my son's have chosed in their lives. I feel very blessed there..
My husband aka Hunny Bunny is my 3rd marriage...We have been married 12 years this June. But don't ask us the date for 10 years we got the date wrong. He has 3 children. Two are college grads and working..Thank You Jesus!! The youngest is graduating from high school this June. We usually take the graduates on a big trip for graduation. But with the others working now arranging schedules is harder. Real Life Huh Guys..
But we will do something. Cancun or Costa Rica is on the board for discussion.

So after over 30 years of collecting, a bricks & motar store and still collecting more. It was suggested that I look into Etsy. While I can't sell leftover items from my shop, I can feed my yard sale habit here.

I am self taught oh history of the items I find. I am considering taking an apraisers course in Florida.

Bad thing, my husband had caught the bug an often goes to estate sales on his way to work!!

My son's still say Crazy Mom!! Since I took them with me when they were young. But my younger son has caught the craze. He is a custom woodmaker. And appreciates when I find furniture.

But we are Major Ducks hockey fans..We have season tickets and are off to games several time a week. Like last night and again tomorrow. Go Ducks!!

My Hunny Bunny and I live in a small condo we have decorated and I also garden and grow herbs for our cooking fetish.
We are leaders with our Boy Scout troop. And we just finished a dutch oven cook demo for them Tuesday night. Boy did we eat good!!

Last vice is our wine tasting. Yup Real Bad. Since we have a small condo we only have about 130 bottles. But we belong to 2 wineries so we get new shipments all the time.

Since it is just us two at home, we like to take off either in the convertible to Santa Barbara (small car means no stopping at estate sales) or take his small truck (which means we do. Including wine barrels and more).

I love the concept of Etsy but in the short time I've been here I feel that some bad things are going on. Maybe, bad is not the right word, but uncomfortable.
So I am studying on how to write a blog and starting my own website. If anyone here has tips or ideas, I'd appreciate it.

Sorry for the length, but after reading all the other intro's it feel's good here.

Hello and thank you for the invite. I have only been selling (or trying to) on Etsy for a year now. I sell much better at craft fairs but I really enjoy making my jewelry.

I have a wonderful, supporting husband of almost 25 years, three kids - only one left at home and two semi annoying dogs. We live in Colorado and absolutely love it.

I will be 50 this birthday in a couple of weeks and I'm afraid I'm not handling it well! I'm sure I'll be fine the day after but it sure seems a scary number right now!

@Abby - Happy early birthday! My folks are nearing 60, but I remember when my mom was nearing 50. She had a solid day of thinking over her life. Lol It wasn't anything negative, but she definitely had to mention, "Wow, it sure doesn't feel like I've been living 50 years!"

Hi there! I am Sue, and I live in Spokane Valley Wa. I love the 4 seasons, yet I don't want to see any more snow til around November!
I enjoy sewing quillows(a quilt that folds into a pillow) , and Christmas stockings. I also enjoy working with wood, and making rustic home decor.
I am a caregiver for my son, who was hit by a car while riding a mountain bike. He is now a quad, who has a great attitude. After all, life goes on even if you're sitting down.
Last year I discovered the joy of riding on the back of my boyfriends Harley. He knows how much I love water... the ocean, lakes, and rivers, and he has shown me some spectacular sites in Northern Idaho and Montana!
Life is good!

Hi everyone and thanks for the invite. I'm having an awesome week, yesterday I had an item featured in a treasury list for the first time and today I got invited to a group, staring to feel like part of the community here <3

I've only had an Etsy shop since the end of Aug '13, but I set my business up almost 2 years ago running through Facebook. I have 2 little girls, eldest is coming up 5 next month and my baby is 3, I can still call her my baby right? ;) I've been with my hubby for, eek almost 19 years!! We live in Bradford in the UK, where he is also self employed as a freelance graphic artist, specialising in logo designs and vector graphics. We're also a home educating family, so my days are quite hectic and packed, lol.

My favourite things are knitting, obviously lol, watching my girls play and grow and watching sci-fi and murder mystery/criminal investigation shows. I love coffee and red wine, and also quite like to read when I get the chance.

I am also just venturing into blog writing, promoting my passion for all things hand made and the importance of supporting local business as opposed to big multi-national organisations.

I look forward to joining in and getting to know more about everyone :D
