I just started a wordpress blog. I want to know how to add a craft cult widget to my blog?

What do you mean widget? You just want to link it to Craftcult?

Ok I just went there. Just add the text widget to the sidebar under widgets and paste the code they give you.

Your Wordpress should have a basic text widget already installed.

I tried it and it did not work.

I couldnt get it to work on the free version of WP but it works with my hosted one. I tried on a page in my free version and that wouldnt work either.
