Shop-Specific Advice

Hi! :-)

Now I have sorted out the links and logo, I thought it was time to start a thread for shop specific advice. I will no longer be offering personal advice over convo, as I have been recently.

That's because I'm typing out a lot of the same information, and if you HAVE to go for this blasted Team Forum thing, we need to try and make as much information available as possible.

This discussion is visable to all.

Simply post a link to the shop you would like looked at, and I or another SEO helper will gladly have a poke around and offer you some personal advice for your shop.

Wow, I've gotten so many great ideas from all the postings. I wondered, when you have a moment, if you could give me a bit of advice on my shop. I open back in Sept. and still have not had a single sale. I did get some advice and brightened up my pics and reworded some things but would love to get some traffic through the door.

I would like one too. I am feeling bad about my shop so whatever I can do to improve I will, I am having a hard time figuring out this keyword stuff, but all I know is I see some people who just listed an item and have like 2000 views in 5 minutes? or am i reading that wrong...i dont know..but then i see mine and the most i have is 50! I know I am doing something completely wrong. :(

I think the key term is Re listed. You don't lose your views when you re list. but you lose 20 cents and I worry if I have been viewed 20000 times and still have not sold it then the wrong eyes are looking or there is something else wrong that is keeping from closing the sale

I love all the great advice I get from all of you by just reading this!
twinklyspangle is going to be looking at my shop soon and I am so nervous but very excited to make the changes. I keep changing my shop around and added different tags. I've decided to just stop until she tells me what I should do.

I really appreciate your tips twinkly. So sorry I wasn't able to let you know until now, but have been having computer problems. I now have my new iMac, so am back and able to post again.
You are an angel to help us all out with your great advice! I am learning so much, but still have a lot to learn.

flower fairy, one thing that you should change is your "shop title" its the same as your shop try something like "unique handmade gifts" or something similar, that has a lot of good tag words. Mine was just like yours, I changed it and my visits went from 40 average to 200. And I just sold a box this morning after nothing for months.

Help! I have been reading all the great tips ... I have used the keyword tool ... I updated my titles and tags ... still not getting more views. Can you please take a look and let me know if I am missing something? How do I increase my chances of being found in google? (I know I need more items in my shop and I am still working on the pictures, but while I am working on those things, I would like to figure out how to get more views).

I'd love some advice. I've been working on my titles and trying to incorporate "flower" instead of "rosette" more because according to Google Key Words that is how people are searching.
