Each day, I or a guest poster will aim to post one teeny tip you can do to improve your SEO or Page Rank. I'm hoping this will become a great resource for new members to the team :-)
Everywhere you post online, be it commenting on a blog, treasury (not Etsy forum posts though) sending emails, add the link to your shop at the end. In this format:
FYI... here's how I have been adding the link to treasuries I am featured in: Thanks so much for including my vintage botanical prints... 15% off lucky viewers of this treasury with code TREASURY01 at http://www.etsy.com/shop/OrangiesAttic
The hats look great :) I agree about adding more details though..also to reassure people about how they feel (people might equate plastic bags with sweaty heads!) Also add tags like recycled, eco etc. Good luck!
Daily Tip...oh I doon't know what number we are on. I'm going to stop numbering them now!!
:-)
Today's task is a little different. I want everyone reading this to spread a little karmic SEO to someone else in the team. It doesn't take much time to link someone else (not me, don't worry about me, chose someone new who really needs it!) even if you just tweet their shop link for them on twitter or facebook :-)
DO IT! Anyone you like. Just pick someone. Go on :-)
Ok, I chose benjamin2008 because I referred her to this team and I think her hair clips are SO cute and unique... here's where I put it and feel free to LIKE my fb page while you are there!
Well, I don't know if it's all the stuff I've been doing with these daily tips or what it is, but it seems like I have more views than I used to. AND...I finally got another sale yesterday. Thanks for all the advice, it seems to be helping.
Threads! That's thrilling I am so happy! I'm also glad to see people linking each other.
Here is todays tip:

Let's try something different. Go to google and type in ETSY SEO HELP
I want each person here to read a different article on Etsy SEO. The reason for this is that it is always good to gather lots of experience. I know that some of the articles on some websites are a little hard reading, but you *might* just discover a great new tip for your shop this way. If you find one, come back and share it with the group!
Good homework! THanks mammamyst...i've downloaded that as well.
I am reading the following article(s) series..not sure how I found it! I liked the further explanation of how to read Google Keyword tool and the next one on how to put the words in your Etsy store. Twinkly explain that well, too. Sometimes hearing it another time, another way fills in the gaps for me.
Well done guys! I'm really glad to see everyone is really putting effort into learning this stuff.
I was thinking earlier that when we are really going to see the effect that all this is having is the biggest internet shopping time, Christmas. It sounds crazy, but adding to your stock at every chance throughout the year will mean you have lots of great items at the end to sell.
Whew, lesson to self - check this thread everyday and do NOT get behind! I just got caught up with all the tips except the last. Some are so simple. Twinkly, you are breaking this down really well. It is so easy to follow without getting overwhelmed. Thanks so much. Now I need to read an SEO article to share.
This link on Etsy SEO info pulls together what we just learned. It also points out where to look for how your shop title and announcement changes will look on google.
