What are you working on??????????

This morning I did a quick draw exercise. Gave myself 1 hour or less. I used acrylic and painted a portrait of a pig......I'm working on loosening up. I tend to get tight quickly.
Well this pig is loose and a bit interesting.
Have a painting floating around in my head that I hope to work on later. Will be gone for a while today. I'll use oil for the new one. I mostly paint alla prima.

I am back every one. Right now I am about to start working on three watercolor paintings, as well as a pop art style piece of a portrait. Only one painting will make it on here due to the fact of a sale. Not as in a discounted sale. More or less a local has taken a shine to my art and bought most of my very first listings on here.

i've been making mixed media tags/bookmarks to mail out to my special customers as a thank you and hopefully to remind them very nicely to shop with me again for the holidays.
I bought at AC Moore some palette knives on sale (i had been using a butter knife) and am loving them :)

I'm a little overwhelmed with my work load for the next few months. I just signed a contract to illustrate a children's book and I have a few commissions to finish!

I still have to maintain my day job 9-5:30 Aaaah! I just hope I'm not biting off more than I can chew!

Congrats, Morgan, that's great. I got a commission also, to make a copy of my California bear painting. It's not much money, but I'm hoping it will lead to other better things.

I also have a pet portrait commission to do, but that is gratis: I donated it to a local charity's fundraising silent auction. I was pleased that it got bid up almost to the price at which I valued it ($175).

My paintings kinda got hindered for drying time due to the fact it decided instead of rain today it wanted to snow the day after thanksgiving. My poor watercolor painting today. Just kidding just have to compensate for drying times. I will be posting some new paintings up soon. As soon as I can afford to. Bad month this month only made local sales though not enough to keep moving forward. Just need to make an online sale now.
