This morning I did a quick draw exercise. Gave myself 1 hour or less. I used acrylic and painted a portrait of a pig......I'm working on loosening up. I tend to get tight quickly.
Well this pig is loose and a bit interesting.
Have a painting floating around in my head that I hope to work on later. Will be gone for a while today. I'll use oil for the new one. I mostly paint alla prima.

Just completed a seascape commission which is always a wonderful discovery along the way.
Completed a still life mixed media which was freeing up my style.
And coming to a cross road right now with two paintings that are demanding grave attention. Urgh.

Hello everyone, I am getting ready to upload my new piece later on this morning since it is now one something in the morning. Its called bobbing for apples on a five by seven canvas. Right now I am working on a shorescape. I am creating this piece for the fall season. It also will be posted up later this day. I just need to add some more contrast as well as texture to the tree's, and it will be ready.

This is my newest painting. Bobbing for apples. It seems the light I was using over saturated the part of the photo of the painting. I will have it corrected in a few min. New painting up a little later today .

Donna Rose, perhaps you'd like to start this as a new posting? I wasn't sure of starting a new thread? I'm working on my shop listings so it's in your original posted question. (grins)
How many Etsy artist are utillizing the Etsy Shoptimizer new app. Photo Genius? Understanding photos do sell our artworks I question the photos possibly adding too much effects and not true to original colors?? Natural lighting photo shoots are my choice? What is your's? And how many are using Photo Genius or other Photo options? Thanks for all or any response. Appreciative for input

Gotta love zombies! Great Halloween piece Charles. I'm packing a few paintings to ship and starting on a new one. I'm planning the palette right now. It's a woman in black lace, the walls are going to be goldish, and there's a dressing table with a dark green(maybe)table cloth on it, and red roses on that. This is what I'm thinking but it may change.

Well my painting didn't go as planned and I ended up with a purple/lavender background. I don't think it's going to stay like that though. I almost feel like starting over completely.

Jennifer, I hate it when that happens! Sometimes I'll spend hours only to wipe the canvas clean... ugh! I'm sure yours will turn out beautifully, though :)

Well, I am working on finding a babysitter for November now because I was named one of the Top 5 artists in Washington DC for the RAWards 2012 season.... and now I need to be at the showcase in Baltimore in November to meet with "industry professionals" and be recognized. Finding childcare is my biggest concern.

This is my Haunted apple orchard piece. It was a bit challenging due to the darkness of my color palette to produce the effect I wanted to achieve. Though I must say the end result was much better then I had thought it would be. My next piece is well maybe a lollipop style of trees with a haunted house. Not to sure as of now.
