I just for the life of me can't understand why receipt woman couldn't just ask for one? JUST ASK.

otherwise, unless its a supply order or an international sale, there's no reason for it. When you buy something from Target, you need the receipt if you want to return it, or exchange, or whatever. If you buy something from me, I know its mine. For one thing, I sign my work, and for another, I can tell. I have had the occasional customer earring calamity along the way, and there was never a need for a receipt or a warranty card.

Ditto to what Rachel said. I haven't sent packing receipts in years, because my customers who are buying for themselves don't want it, and the ones who are buying gifts certainly don't want it. I have not had a single person ask for a receipt in all the years I have sold here- they have asked NOT to send them though. Also, just like Erga said, they can print it themselves because they get emailed both te etsy receipt, AND the PayPal receipt!

It's less Downton Abbey and more bus station than I imagined but its quiet and I'm on the top level so it's really pretty. The lower level looked like a refugee camp so I was glad to be herded up here.

What is standard for doing home shows? A commission % of sales? or a gift to the hostess? or a gift certificate for the hostess?

I'm open for ideas.... what have you done that worked out well??
