It was a very busy weekend for us. Lots of yardwork and clean-up. It was hotter than blazes! So hot, that I even skipped going to the barn yesterday because I just couldn't stomach the idea of sweating again!
We could also use some rain, but mostly to cool things down. I'm having to water in the evenings just to perk the flowers back up...they are wilting in the late afternoon heat. I'm very concerned about how hot our summer is going to be. We are suppose to reach 101F this weekend.
Ouch, Chrissy. I wish I could send some rain to the rest of you. We've gotten PLENTY this month. O.o
I'm using LoseIt, too, Pennee. And yes - it makes you stop before you gorge on random cookies or candies. How do you track your metalsmithing as exercise - heavy tool use? Because I'm thinking that definitely counts. LOL
LOL no I do not track hammering and I don't think frustration burns many calories! I still use the Fitbit for steps and the list of exercises on the LoseIt app is pretty extensive including gardening, so I add in my time on the elliptical, going kayaking Wed so that will burn lots! I love how you get a green box with extra calories to use after exercise!
I am struggling with what to have for dinner- I am brain dead and cross eyed from setting .8 mm diamonds in earring jackets all afternoon for an order. Nothing is sounding appealing and I am sick of eating leftovers
I need to check into that app. Pennee...does it track equestrian activities? I'm trying to find an app that I can track my barn activities. It looks like I'm going to be very busy here in a couple of weeks. Millie is getting back under saddle and Hope has just started her under saddle training today! :-)
Can someone please send some cooler weather this way??? The A/C unit at the office is frozen over...it's now 80F in my office. (we're on the 3rd floor and my office faces South!).
Good morning. A bit of rare sales dust for you. Got an order from my granulated earrings. Thought I'd knock them out while I was in class yesterday. However, I left the texturing hammer I needed and my argentium wire at home. I always seem to leave something I really need at home.
Had plans to go kayaking today but it's looking pretty gray and chance of t-storms. May have to reschedule for next week. And then oh goody I can finish setting tiny diamonds. I shouldn't complain, I have been steady but certainly not busy like I used to be
It's coming along. Plumbing almost finished, wiring ready to flip the switch on soon. Then back to the fun of drywall taping and mudding. Lots of small details, then flooring.
It sounds very tedious, but it sounds like you're making some good progress. Has Etsy been busy for you? I know everyone's getting mixed results right now.
I'm not far from you CG- revenue down 19% for the year, views down 21%. And I agree, a bit slower now is just fine. My monthly sales have been very inconsistent- just odd- although I have not made a single new thing in over a month now my sales have gone up. I'm just determined to get rid of stock and slowly let things expire that aren't great sellers. Just keep the stuff I always sell pretty regularly. So why didn't I listen to you and do that a long time ago?
I'm down about 20% on visits and orders from last year, but this month was up quite a bit from last year this time. I'm not going to stress about it right now.
Yes Erin I got the email this morning. It was handy for me when I closed out most of my pottery business after getting sick but it was sporadic. I only did mugs and knitting bowls.
Glad the house is coming along CG. You were "offline" for quite a spell last year maybe that is why sales are slower.
Nursing a heat headache. I think I ended up with a bit of sun poisoning over the weekend....I didn't over-heat, but I do think I over exposed myself. It's been so hot so fast this year.
I have been really down the past couple of months. Things were going great at the end of the year through February...then it's like everyone disappeared.
So sad about Etsy Wholesale...are they just going to roll the sellers back into regular Etsy?
