Yesterday I used the Alzo lights for the first time. I LOVE THEM!!! Of the four bulbs one was a dud and did not work but even with 3 and my not completely white anymore photography tent, I am really happy with the quality and consistency of the lighting and pictures. So nice to not be dealing with constantly shifting light conditions and to be able to come back after dark to get some better pictures from some angles. Huge improvement!

Congratulations to Wendy, Esme and Terri on the sales, and to CG for the big milestone! My shop has been slow the past week, week and a 1/2 compared to what is normal, but I sold a custom requested ring to a customer last night, and am starting to list more than 30 new pieces so that should perk things up. Well... I hope anyways...

I'm unearthing more beads and some really decent pearls in my flood cleanup. Stuff that's likely been there for 20+ years. No sign anywhere of that Rubbermaid packed with silver that went missing while I was in hospital. I was hoping it would surface in this purge if it was there.

Still baffles me, and I have such a crude keep track system I don't dare claim theft, plus I was not onsite when it happened.

I like those bulbs too Dreia. Too hard taking pictures in our dreary cold climate w/o some light setup.

Kathy, isn't it annoying when something disappears like that. It's nothing compared to your silver but those emeralds keep bugging me. Where are they? Now I'm afraid they might have been left on the kitchen table after photographing and ended up in the newspaper recycling bag..

Back from class. it was a fun and easier class than usual. I'm done teaching until after the new year.

I got some new goodies at the gem show. A couple of boulder opals and some fossil shell, mid grade rutilated quartz and some 6mm sunstones. I also got a few nice slabs. One is a poppy jasper that's not around any more from a 40 year old collection, a really cool blue mojave turquoise with bigger chunks with the brass lace, a peruvian chryocolla that's really cool, blue amazonite and a nice piece of turquoise. I will post a photo of the slabs on IG later.

I'm so glad you like your new lights Dreia. I love mine too. CG had to probably tell me about them a half dozen times but I eventually followed thru and it revolutionized my photo taking.

Congrats on the sales. Today was much busier at the store than I expected. People are getting out and doing early Xmas shopping. I hope that this means that it will be a good season.

Meanwhile there are still crickets in my etsy shop.

Looking forward to seeing all the fun stuff on IG tomorrow when I have some time to scroll thru.

Finally finished cleaning, pricing, finding display pieces and packing. And I'm totally whipped. My back and hip are killing me. Time for drugs and rest.
