If anyone is interested, Etsy's CFO is leaving. The stock plunged almost 13% during trading.

I thought he was leaving 'because' the stock was not doing well. From what I've read, Etsy has yet to turn a profit. How does a business keep operating and not turning a profit? Could you do that?

Glad the owl photos were fun for folks. I enjoyed taking them, and now I have some great subject matter for a new painting.

I got about a half hour or bench time in. struggled with something and then smartly walked away. Ill have time after my show. I need to stop thinking that I need more new stuff. everything will be new to these folks. Im the only one who knows when I made stuff.

Irene, I was also thinking of you wondering where you had got off to. Sorry to hear you had such a crappy time with shingles but I am glad you are feeling better. I love the cast lace bezels. I keep looking for some fine cut plastic lace trim that I could use in the same way but have not come across any that would work for that yet.

Sending Dianna some of my Muse in a box.... I really need to stop adding to my pile and finish something but I keep getting ideas and I don't want to interrupt the flow. And I keep selling the old stuff in my shop, so... may as well keep going.

Except I have a couple custom orders I need to finish...

And stuff I need to take out of the pickle I forgot and just remembered...

I feel blue that I have no new ideas. Or, maybe I have no new ideas because I am feeling blue? I have no real reason to feel blue, but I seem to have lost my desire to create. Sometimes buying new stones helps, but I can't even decide on what stones I want. Ugh.

My ribs felt a little better this morning, and then I sneezed, and it was back to being super painful. On the plus side, pain killers seem to work, and rest as well, so I should make sure I get rest. Tomorrow is a holiday for me so I'm going to have Hedda at daycare for half a day while I'm at home and rest.

The emerald ring saga continues. I'm a little irritated that she doesn't want cabochons but insists on faceted. She wants the look of a high quality faceted stone, and well, that's gonna cost. We tried to make it work with a cheap emerald. It failed, twice.

Dianna, a break might be good! I often clean up the bench or sort a drawer or something, just to do something and feel productive. Or is there a new technique that you have been wanting to try but haven't gotten around to? This might be the moment for that.

I just finished soldering my has been pendant. I'm happy with the construction, it's looking clean, so I have that to be excited about.

Sending you healing wishes, Esme! I'm sorry about your emerald customer. I think I would be tempted to give up, refund, and be done. You're in an impossible situation when the buyer doesn't understand the limits of what is possible within a tight budget.

Yeah. So far I have lost two emeralds, and postage back and forth, and there is more loss to come. <:/

I guess a refund would be best, but she would be so disappointed to end up with nothing.
