Cg, i have a tiny tubing cutter that I modified. I just saw a little line to start it.

It's OK, I forgot that you needed not only even lengths but exact lengths.

For just even lengths, a hole drilled in say endgrain hardwood to the depth of the length of the tubing, then the tubing sawn at the edge of the wood.

But that wouldn't really have helped you there.

Here's the tubing cutter. I just glued a piece of 16g copper in it to make the jaws small enough.

Tammy, any kind of fixed stop will do the same, just so it's a repeatable length. Still, for your purpose there's going to be finely tuned trimming.

I haven't had a fondue party in yonks. We try to get a couple of pots going at least. One with cheese, others with seasoned oils and other goodies.

Did someone mention unfinished projects? That's what autumn/winter is for. And fondue parties. And sleeping.
