I'm a natural layabout.

I haven't dismissed enamelling but it is out of the question right now because of lack of space. That will change, and I will have the room for a kiln.

Maybe.

Knew a harp playing girl once. Now there's a non-portable instrument.

Food shouldn't go in or out of fashion. I can see the chi-chi restaurants (and I do like them!) moving on to the latest new thing, but if I like a food, I want to eat it.

Count me in the fondue lovers.

I love melting pot. David and I go there for date nights (which unfortunately isn't very often).. We get the cheese fondue and then some nice white wine fondue followed by a nice dark chocolate, frangelico, raspberry puree fondue...

now I'm hungry

Or make your own cheese fondue at home. You just need a large ceramic pot and some skewers. There are plenty of recipes online and it is warm, creamy goodness.

I got bored this evening and decided to make my sandwich!
It still needs a little work on the rivets but it's getting dark and I'm tired!

Thank you Sue and CG. Yes I made it in about 4 hours so it still needs a little more refining.

You can't really tell in the photos but I used a texturing wheel to give it a frosted finish.

Beautiful! I had a similar idea, but I gave up on the rivets. Yours are beautifully executed.

Tammy, I don't think I'll finish it. There's a lot of time to go, I wanted to make sterling bolts, and fussy enough to have the heads like those small screws on flexshaft buff mandrels, and also wanted to find my little bag of small CZs to add one to the drippings. I have no trouble leaving stuff unfinished, studied all my life to do that.

How were you cutting the tubing? I may have an idea to make even lengths easier.

Sue- one of my best friends is from Austria- she wanted to learn how to roll sushi I wanted to learn how to make authentic spaetzle - so we had a party for us to swap cooking techniques- what I learned fast was, I could use my colander. Have fun with it- it's sooo yummy!
