Well, I can in theory wade through it. Did a very childishly basic website with Konpozer 7 starting a month after ever being on the net. I had to have 'copy/paste' explained to me, for example. With help of course, but I did actually use code the last time I made a change to it.

So I can do it if I put in the effort, but it's not so easy since I don't really live with the tech stuff and have to keep relearning.

I'm undeservedly fussy with graphic stuff but it's a lot of work to get a look I like. So it's on the back burner, on simmer.

<---- totally NOT a techie!
I do have a teensy bit of graphics background, though.
But back when I learnt it we were using presstype and rubber cement.

Thanks, Tammy.
Really, I am open to improvement suggestions.
You guys can be honest.
Off to bed for now~

"Nasalpharyngal" area feels better but ya, still feel a pressure there. Guess I too will require a salt water snort.

Didn't use a "stop" (sulphur to stop fermentation process, yeast killer) when I made wine. One (must have been flawed) bottle exploded but the rest produced a lovely sparkling wine. I was told that champagne is made in a similar process and that's why champagne bottles are so heavy duty.

Hmmm. I seem to remember buying a round of brie...

Fun fact for today: the pressure inside champagne bottles is about 5 atmospheres. Hence the heavy duty bottles.

Morning! Feel much better today. :)

Susan, your site looks amazing! I love it. I think it's very clear, and no frills or messy backgrounds. The photos took a few sec to load for me but it was fast enough to not bother me. If I would change anything it would be having an overview of the different categories with thumbnails, so that you would be more drawn to click on the categories. But it's fine the way it is too.

morning, es!

i think you guys gave me something. i have that phlegmy thing going on too. keep clearing my throat to no avail. other than that i'm pretty ok, so i won't whine too much. hope all you sickies are feeling all better today.

susan, pretty site! really classy, like everything you do.

just an aside, wix sites don't open on mobile devices or ipads because they're flash-based. they're also not so search-friendly.
just something one should know when considering building one (cg).

*sprays 70% ethanol towards computer*

That's a good point about flash Erga. Didn't know that.

Are you doing anything fun today? The girl who shares my office now is a lot better than the last one but she is allergic/asthmatic and breathes heavily. Annoying. Can't people just be quiet as mice? ;)

Apparently the old CEO had been looking for a replacement from the start. I guess it's good business sense not to say that out loud. ? We aquired a company a few months back and the CEO from that company becomes our new one. I guess that's okay. We go from a business man CEO to one with a research background. May be better, maybe not. Too soon to tell!

Good morning.

I love the site Susan. It looks beautiful.
TSue, that's a cool story about the shipwreck. I love found shipwreck stories. I would love to explore one - if I could dive, but I have a fear of being underwater with an artificial breathing apparatus on my face. LOL
I can tolerate snorkeling, but just barely.

Hope the new CEO works out Esme. Sorry aobut another noisy office mate.

Hi Kim! How are you? I think it's natural not to be too confident in the ocean. It's not our element. I can dive, and be okay, but only when it's not too deep and preferably in a friendly and pretty reef. No shipwrecks and deep canyons for me please.

I'm fine Esme. A little tired this am. You're doing better than me on the diving. I do love snorkeling at beautiful coral reefs. What are you up to today? Aren't you taking a honeymoon trip soon?

The one time I went diving, my sister panicked each time she came below the surface. She just couldn't do it. I was a little nervous but could keep my breathing steady.

Yes, honeymoon trip in October! A week on iceland. We're reading and planning now and we have way too little time. But that's okay. We need to go back some time anyway, to see whales and puffins. Not the right season for that now.

Well, it's possible that we're lucky and see the sun. Or that we're unlucky and there will be snowstorms. Let's just say it's a good thing that the place is full of hot springs. :)

great site susan! your graphics really support your work.

i think that ship wreck was the one i heard about on npr this morning. they found it by using the statements of the survivor and the germans that sunk it. everyone else before had always thought the germans were lying because the statements they made varied so much. but instead this group thought that the germans were only normally imperfect in their recall. as are most people. so they plotted all the locations reported, and figured out their best guess was 2.7 miles from were the wreck was eventually found.

pretty interesting. (and i'm imperfect in my recall of the story too i'm sure! lol.)

Tink, Cool shipwreck story! Grew up near several shipwrecks, with lots of eerie stories to accompany each one. There's a museum in town with lots of artifacts from the DeBraack. Year after year they would try to excavate it, only to be thwarted by violent storms much like the storm that sank it. Mysterious!
Susan, your website looks to be off to a good start, but with my slow internet, I had trouble with loading time.
So is anyone going to test my copper kills a cold theory? I swear it has worked for me, but need test cases to shore up my theory or knock it down.
Then S.U.E. can analyze the data, lol.

Yay, it's raining (which means I'll lose internet), but hopefully will knock down some of the dreaded stinkbugs. Killed about 200 of them in the house, and about 100,000 of them on the outside yesterday. Geesh, there seems to be an endless supply of them, and they DO stink to high heaven. My house has this horrid stench :(

I was working with copper yesterday and have a sinus headache today. Wonder if it's related.
