I may be automatically given a tiny bit of latitude, being a guy. Thanks for that.....
About 20 years ago I did have a few times over a month or so of waking soon after falling asleep to a racing heartbeat. Not sure if that's what's being talked about. Wasn't sure if it was some dream or having had a coffee just before bed. So I backed off to no coffee within about two hours of bed. It stopped. But I soon after slid back to my habit of a coffee about an hour before bed. Nothing since. All calm.
No idea of why it happened out of the blue, and why it stopped, and why for me it seems to have little to do with coffee. Something happening in the subconscious?
Sorry about the bad night's sleep. That sucks, Jen. Any caffeine over just a tiny bit in the morning gives me the shakes and makes me feel all stressed out so I can't have any. I've gotten used to it and I don't really miss it at all. I know that's a tough sell though. I hope you can get a nap.
I don't think I'm stressed out....but maybe subconsciously. I dunno. I've gotten these things off and on for a long time now, they come and go with no recognizable pattern. Its just broken brains. I think I woke up 4 or 5 times last night having an attack. Thats unusual. My last cup of coffee is always at 2pm, so it's not the time. But I know I do drink to much. Need to ship out stuff, make stackers, and go to work. So, not likely getting any naps.
Probably was an accumulation of stress for me way back then, got a shouted reminder, must have somehow initiated a reset. Put that daily living stress in it's place, which is far way from me. I just know it takes a toll on the body.
I'm struggling with how to approach stone photos. I just had a 5 star review but they mentioned that the stone looked brighter in the photo. I don't want people to think I intensify colors. I edit photos on my laptop where they always look right and then when I see them on my IPad, they can look over saturated.
I usually get good sleep like that Pennee but not last night. Was up until at least 3 and slept lightly.
Terri, I think you're doing fine - their monitor is just set differently. That red plume agate I got looked super duper red on the monitor and wasn't so much when I got it. I just put it down to monitor differences and left it at that. The stone is still gorgeous.
I get weird butt reviews in the soap shop all the time - I got a four star last week where the girl loved the scent, but the soap didn't produce huge bubbles like she expected it too. ????? WHAT??
Terri, I'm glad I don't sell stuff with stones here for just that reason. Some sellers do oversaturate - like that one I showed you a while back.
Monitors are all different, and people will also interpret the same image a bit differently.
I once thought it could be solved by having in the pic an item with a universally known colour, my obvious one is an orange. Then each brain can 'set' the colour interpretation. But that's an impractical and unworkable way.
I have seen some stone sellers note that they try their best to represent the colours accurately. That's probably all that can be done.
It's also the differences in the oils I use - coconut oil helps the olive oil soap produce a better lather, but it's doesn't get huge, soapy bubbles like people expect from detergent bars. It's very subjective, and I just go with it, most of the time.
I did have one review come in where the lady complained it wasn't a lot of lotion for the price and left me a three star. I didn't even contact her about it, because she's stupid. I did respond to the review, however, and I put the amount that's in the jars in fluid ounces and milliliters right there in the listing. If you don't know what 4 ounces is, that's not my problem.
Jen I had the exact same sort of night. Woke up a number of times sweating and freaking out over one thing or another.
And Im now back in a bit of a funk. (work related). Just unhappy right now.
We ended up with about 30" of snow. But power stayed on. DH will be doing the driveway, its going to take two passes with the snowblower. Plus the shoveling all needs to be done again (deck and stairs) because we got about 8 more inches after the first go.
pretty day though. lots of birds including a big red tail that keeps prowling around and a pair of pileated woodpeckers making noise and drilling trees.
that's pretty much how we eat it too Wendy! Good stuff - Last time I had it at one of our gourmet dinners I made a blackberry sauce for the side- it was soooo yummy with venison
I azm supposed to get an order today from Hoover- they just seem to take so long any more- I wish I could order longer lengths but with heavier gold I just hesitate to put out that much money for inventory to sit
Jen, take a day if you feel like you need it. That's why my turnaround is 3 - 5 business days right now. Three kids and everything that we have going on - sometimes, I just need a DAY. Last night messed you up, so take care of you first.
I hate it when that happens, Jen. Maybe you can try to take a nap and then get some work done? You'll do better work if you are rested and not in a fog.
morning all. of course, I ditto what's been said. rest. want to know what makes anxiety worse? add stress to an already anxious person. so don't add the stress today. now, if it were me, I would find making jewelry a DE-stresser. and if that's how you view it, by all means, go de-stress. but it sounds like you are not up to working and shouldn't force it. I slept for 10 hrs last night. maybe too much but I've been having stomach issues for a few days- haven't been able to really eat. it's been keeping me awake at night and I think I was heading for a crash. GI tract still ain't right but i'll keep the details to myself. on a positive note, I've lost 8 lbs this wk from not eating.
yes, but I can't wendy. everything is making me nauseous and giving me epigastric pain. I managed a half cup of bland soup yesterday and a couple saltines. I take a daily acid suppressor because I have lots of GERD but it isn't helping in the least. I get these things every so often. I don't know if it's an ulcer, my gallbladder, or just me being weird. ha.
