Well that's odd Sue. someone was visiting my shop today from saskatoon. interesting co-inky-dink.
Erin I was curious too - so many of our names are algonquin in origin - I did a quick google search:
The name Saskatchewan is derived from Cree kisiskâciwanisîpiy, meaning “swift-flowing river.” Saskatchewan became a province of Canada on September 1, 1905.
A curious question....email from Metalsmith mag, hawking two (only) ad spots left available for the "2014 Metalsmith Exhibition in Print' issue.
One, 1/4 page for $595, and one 1/2 page for $995.
I'll be on nobody's short list so have to assume this went out to every North American SNAG member. Doesn't make sense for a total gain of $1590. Or does it?
Well, yeah. I mean, it takes someone's time to do that, but for a $1600 return, all they had to do was probably tweak the original email advertising the spots and hit the Send button.
I got some dried beans to make for later this week. FIL needs some real food, and the lady friend is asking me if I worked at the nursing home her mother lives in again. The last time she asked me that, I got cussed out.
I'll take the crawfish etouffe thank you very much- I had stuffed peppers already this week- enough with the meat. Do you buy the frozen tails Erin? That's all I can get here
I love all the Indian names around where I grew up in PA - most people never heard of any other than Punxsutawney phil. My favs were Aliquippa and Conshohocken and my favorite place for rafting - the Monongahela
Always multitasking here....Packing up packages (packing tape ran out) while making meatloaf, and hanging with the kiddos in the studio finishing up some made to order stuff....
The kids crack me up....they are playing pizza, with play doh. Lots of deliveries tonight!
Yeah, frozen. I think if I went to a local seafood place, I could get them, but they still come from Louisiana. Doesn't matter - it's pretty good stuff. Older son had two helpings.
Younger son said it was delicious, but he wanted a sandwich. *headdesk*
I apologize for posting and running earlier, had more customer come and a friend bringing Saskatoons. Pie day here. Timely delivery , Saskatoons are plentiful this year,
Sue I am so very sorry you got bad news about Cricket. No matter how prepared for news like that it is rough.
On a more positive note Wendy I am relieved to hear your mom in law did Ok with her surgery.
