Happy Canada Day!

We are still here in our own home, and the weather is still pretty miserable, more rain and bad winds, but the sandbags are holding. Some seepage but the water is not as bad as the last floods.
Lots of damage around us and we have washed out roads but the rain is coming down in drops instead of sheets; so there is hope. Power outages every few hours.
I hope someone can soon explain why we are getting "once in 300 yr" events every 2 or 3 years , used to be a pretty neutral weather zone here.

Thx Wendy, I think the worst is over . Just want to get out now and clean up all the broken trees and debris. What a mess.

I was finally able to see the photos posted in the other thread, what an amazing picture of the owl, and Chrissie, I bet that coyote has mange. It's really affected the coyote population around here this year.

Just heard they are releasing Janis Joplin postage stamps in August. And IM super excited about it. Can't wait to buy a bunch. (yes Im easily amused).

We got to see her Porsche at the NC art museum in January. Cool stuff. :)

That tropical depression is expected to be a Cat 1 hurricane this afternoon. Goidy goody gumdrops.

I will probably be fine by Friday. Thank you, Kathy. Generally, I worry worry worry about these trips and nothing goes wrong. Problem is - we can never predict what might go wrong. I'm going to try to let go of the worry and deal with today. The pastor got out of the hospital Sunday afternoon ( pneumonia this time) and his wife is bad sick now - bronchitis or something. I'm making a double batch of chicken pot pie today - some for us and some for them.

I have my son staying for about a week until we can legally have the sheriff remove the scumbag squatters in his house that get to remain and destroy things with little consequence. I am infuriated over this. At least I'm teaching my son to cab and he's loving it.

I have the dentist this morning, then picking up my grand girls for the rest of the day- hitting one of the local carnivals this evening so they can do some rides, fire house dinner- then funnel cakes! Even though I can make funnel cakes at home they always seem better at the carnival

me? i got nuttin. hell day at work, then metal work tonight. so, the question is, is this lap top jinxed? i had 5 or 6 sales the week i was operating with my phone and no computer. since i got this new one a week ago, not a single sale. hmmmmmm, a connection or just the way the wind blows?

Sue I was just looking at my stats for the last week and yesterday they took a dive half of what I had been getting each day. I was waking up to 40 or 50 views - today 9 views when I woke up.

Doubt its your laptop.

my views have been mostly ok, just no sales. until the last week, june was great for me. woke up with 50 views this morning, fairly typical #s.
