Thanks Erin! I'm really proud of finishing that first course. I feel more official.
I'm happy to be over 100 items. I just go and make stuff when I can, and then list it when I can. It's not consistent, but I'm getting to be more on a schedule which is helping.
I'm praying for all of you in the path of Hurricane Matthew! That is some scary stuff. I hate storms.
Thanks Everyone! :) The tests are tough! The course material is really interesting...so that makes it better. The hard part...is the time factor. You have 3 months to finish the course...and with work, and other obligations, I had to push to finish it up. :-) I had a goal of one course a week. That helped keep me on track.
Chrissi - that is terrific and congratulations. Was it all online?
I think I'm a bit scared about the hurricane. Being without power for days in the Florida heat... No tv, maybe no internet....and then you have to wait and wait for overpriced repairmen.
I have some family that boarded up and left today. They waited out a hurricane once and said "never again" after that one. In contrast I have a friend from here that has no clue about hurricanes and she's staying with her small children. Scary stuff. Not sure what the dh's cousin is going to do. He's the guy with all the fancy cars.
That's a great accomplishment, Christina. Congratulations!
Dreia, you need to write a book with these adventures.
My brother was living in Coconut Grove when the hurricane wiped out Homestead. He stayed in Coconut Grove through it all and could see the water from his home after all the foliage was ripped out. My sil s brothers house in Homestead was one of a handful that was undamaged hasamazingly. I remember seeing Homestead that year during a visit after the hurricane and it was wiped clean at that point. I am trying to get my brother to leave but he has not made the decision to leave yet from Orvieto in Seminole County NE of Orlando.
Boo. Had to cancel an order. A sage leaf ring. First she was anxious to have it shipped quickly, then all of a sudden she wanted to cancel. Maybe she realized it wouldn't get there in time.
The hurricane and tropical storm watches have commenced for Florida. Conditions pick up long gefore the actual eye gets there. The first outer bands are just starting to rotate in to Florida.
Wishing your mother successful surgery and a speedy recovery,
From the maps, it looks as if FL is going to be hit hard. I'm really worried about M's daughter. They are in Port Orange, next to Datona. No plans to evacuate.
concerned for Florida. speaking of mothers, mine isn't there yet... but her condo is. right near Ft lauderdale. She has friends down there who shut her shutters for her (them - its mom and stepdad)... but she is of course rightfully concerned.
thinking good thoughts for everyone and everything down there. the everglades really don't need this either.
