Re: Falling For Metal Chat - October Edition

Kathy, it was Debbie's uncle that passed away. My uncle has cancer too, but he's still kickin'. :)

My dad went to the ER this morning with high grade fever and lower ab pain. They think it is his prostate. They've been running tests.

So sorry Gayle.

MAN! What in the world is going on??? Doesn't it seem that there's a huge uptick in misfortune lately?

Debbie I am sorry about your relative, I'd read Gayle's post from b4 and guess I was not paying as much attention as I thought I was. :(

I'm just going to send out mega good vibes to all and hope this trend is stopped in it's tracks.
Gayle I hope your dad is OK. Fever is not a common issue with prostate issues unless something got damaged and infected

Wendy says
I interviewed this doc when I was preggers and I loved him from the start. he is kind, gentle, pragmatic, not a drug pusher, not an alarmist. Just really even keeled and awesome. however.... other than the nurses which are hit or miss the rest in the office are not professional and very clusterfucky.

Sheesh.
Too many health issues.

Re: Falling For Metal Chat - October Edition

Susan, had to heart one of your necklaces. Love the "dotty" snake chain. Don't know how you did that... crimp beads along the chain perhaps?
Seriously... they add a nice touch to the chain.

good job.

I saw that necklace too Kat, it's really cute Susan.

Kat you can buy smart beads that will allow you to make it yourself. I have been using them on bracelet type snake chains here, along with the slider beads.

My son went to pick up my dog from the vet and he came running out to him and peed on him. What the heck!? I love this dog like crazy but wow he does have some weird issues!

Forgot to say this first:

Oh no Gayle. I hope he's alright. Prayers!

No worries Kathy. :) I do that as well. It's hard to keep up in a chat that's sort of going all over the place. And thank you. He is so much better off that actually as much as it's sad, it's really better. I'm glad I got to spend some quality time with him before.

Re: Falling For Metal Chat - October Edition

The light bulb in my light box burned out. I can't find a replacement. Does anyone have a recommendation for a small, not horribly expensive one?

I need to do some more photography

I have some longer necklaces on the worktable they need smaller beads and involve some crimping but I have those speical crimping pliers and it makes for easier work.

I got mine from Halstead beads but I see them here on Etsy and they aren't much more expensive

Re: Falling For Metal Chat - October Edition

Kat, I 've been researching and see you can also buy both the necklaces and the chain itself as findings on the Halstead Bead site.

under saturn chains. that will save me a lot of work and time.

I'm trying to slow down but I do have orders here for more of that type of bracelet, and I am thoroughly enjoying the pen plating on metal clay. Not so much enjoying fiddle diddling with tiny beads,,,LOL

Good morning Erin!

Just ordered some photopolymer plates for making your own textures. Exciting! Has anyone tried it here? Kathy maybe?

Good morning.
Sending out healing thoughts to all people and animals who need them. We seem to have an inordinate amount of health issues.

I'm getting nothing done on the metal front right now. Can't seem to find the motivation.

Kathy, maybe Anise from the MCH thread, but she's been busy lately.

I never started my order yesterday, so I'm working on that today.
