morning all. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAURA! i'm glad you get to have bench time on your day and do what you want. i got in around midnight last night from the studio and tried to post but etsy was having site problems and i couldn't. i helped my bench partner do her first tube setting for her first exhibition piece last night. came out perfectly- she is beyond thrilled. it was kinda cute.
i'm working on my RAW- this ring has already consumed 3 days of bench time (and i work a solid 6-8 hrs away from home). i think one more full day and it will be done. lots of hand sanding and finishing on this one. it's a bit strange but i figured, why not? you'll see it when it's done- i guess this one is more conceptual, trying to explore the ring form more. problem is, this RAW is taking too much time away from my getting anything else done. anyone else having this problem?

Happy birthday Laura! Shire, if you feel like you didn't get enough snow, feel free to come down here! Another foot of the stuff!!! Plow guy is scheduled to come at some point today. DH is heading out in a little bit to do the stairs and walkways. I'm staying in pj's and relaxing. After yesterday's drive in the snow, I'm not heading anywhere today!!

Happy BD Laura!

We've had an interesting night with friends stuck on highways for hours. The snow came down 2 to 3 inches per hour and people couldn't move. I'm SO fortunate to have arrived home just before Mother Nature let loose.

I know I guess I could have but I didn't make them for RAW so it felt wrong somehow.. I joined RAW cause I wanted an excuse to go out of my comfort zone. Make things I normally wouldn't. Like super shiny! Or tiny! I was hoping to create rings that wasn't within the normal range of things I make.. But I think I am over thinking it ha ha I should just start making stuff..

I do like that part, just the way the thread looks is less pleasant to the eye. Narrower, with less space for text on each page. I'll get used to it. ;)
