The first summer month. Carry on...

Re: Chatting In June

Good morning!

We had a little rain last night...we so needed it. I imagine that my weeds will take off now and I'll be out pulling mine in a day or two.

Re: Chatting In June

Good Morning! Order packed and shipped off. :-)

Fighting off a headache here. I over-heated on last night's run. It's cool and rainy here this morning.

Furniture has been delivered, and my house looks weird. :D

Re: Chatting In June

Chrissy - dehydration can cause headaches too (in addition to kidney stones which you do not want).

Have an order from a customer who lost their bracelet from a year ago. Nice to know they liked it enough to want another.

Re: Chatting In June

That is nice, Terri.

I took a nap. Watching those guys try to manipulate this cabinet in here today freaked me out.

Re: Chatting In June

Morning. I have boxes to unpack and glass on the cabinet to clean - carefully - and then all the things need to go IN the cabinet.

And all I really want to do is make jewelry.

Good morning.
Another hot one. I'll try not to whine all summer. But 90! +++ temps tend to promote whining.

Re: Chatting In June

Good morning!

I hear you Kit. I don't do 90+ temps well without some whine. :)

Got some pretties to finish up today between running errands and usual house stuff that needs done. We'll see how much jewelry happens today.

Kit, I hear that. Especially when the heat index is over 100. BLECH.

My mother sent me my grandmother's Bride's Book from her wedding. ALL the feels, y'all.

Re: Chatting In June

Yes. The furniture thing had potential to turn into a boiling mess of hatefulness, but it didn't, thank goodness. Right now, I'm pulling things out of storage I haven't been able to display, so that's sort of neat. I will say, though - I HATE polishing big pieces of silver. UGH.

*sales dust* Sold a cuff bracelet.

Re: Chatting In June

for big pieces Erin, have you tried the foil in a pan with boiling water and baking soda? I find it removes all the crevice stuff then I an just use a polish cloth. Not that I have a lot of large pieces but if you want them out- no way to keep it from happening

Re: Chatting In June

Congrats on the cuff sale, Erin and the 2 repeats Esme. That hedgehog is just too cute. At one time I wanted a live one. Of course there was a time I wanted a monkey and a chinchilla.

Photographing a custom ring. I wish my phone or tablet took better photos. They look fine on the phone and the tablet but if I upload to Etsy - I think they seriously look bad.

Re: Chatting In June

Good Afternoon.

Pennee...definitely not dehydrated...fighting off allergies and aggravated by the heat. I'm drinking water and electrolytes like crazy. I could nearly float away.

Kit...the heat and humidity this year is brutal...whine away...I'll join in. I'm suppose to run again tonight, and I'm not really looking forward to it. I've already consumed 3 bottles of water this morning, one of which had electrolytes, and I'm trying to down at least 2 more before 4 pm today.

I found this awesome product called a Frog Togg. You run it under cool water and place around your neck like a bandana. It holds the water and cools as it evaporates. I wear one at the barn and I'm going to try one out tonight with my run. I'm hoping it will help a little bit.

Re: Chatting In June

I am done. My grandfather's miniature furniture is all along the top shelf (lightweight stuff up top!), my mother's Nippon chocolate set finally showed up (all unbroken), and the silver plate pieces I own have been polished and set up. They don't look perfect, and I'm okay with that.

There's still some space, but I'm sure I have more stuff squirreled away.

I suppose the miniature is not for playing with, right Erin?

This has been such an unproductive week for me, sigh!

Good morning.
I'm with you,Esme. Don't know whether it's the weather or just general laziness, but I'm accomplishing nothing lately. Have great plans in the morning, evening comes and I realize nothing got done.😾

Morning!

No, Esme, these are put way up on the highest shelf of the cabinet. I don't want certain small people to get any ideas about them. :D

New fee structure. We knew it was coming:

Re: Chatting In June

Yeah, read that.

Looks like the “upgrade” isn’t something I’m really interested in. But I’m not super happy about the fee increase. It is what it is.....just need to add 2% to my costs......not sure why they’re taking a cut of the shipping costs though. That’s pretty sleazy.

Just read the E. email. Yes, we knew it was coming. I agree Jen, taking a cut of the shipping is sleazy.
