So I tumbled the chain for a day and a half In abrasive ceramic media. It looks better, mich better.
I spent the night in the hospital with Ayla. She was having breathing problems. And I’m still here, waiting to be allowed to leave. I always feel like a prisoner at this point.
I was trying to take a nap, since I can't seem to stop waking up before 5:30 am. Repeat customer buts two pairs of bronze earrings in two different transactions (which is fine, but why?), and then I finally get to sleep, and the cell phone rings. It was a pre recorded sales call. The ONLY reason I had the phone with me is because I was halfway expecting a call from the City Stormwater division. Now I feel all groggy and yuck.
Good morning. Sorry about Ayla. It's a good thing I was never a mother. I'd have been in a constant state of panic. We had rain all around last night, and not a drop on our yard. However, it's OK. Some of the stormwater hail, and my car was out. Don't want to lose another one. Great, weatherman just said, "It's going to feel gross this afternoon."
LOL Kit- I remember being in a panic for the first 6 months- it gets better- then like my kid says, after the second one comes, it takes a lot for you to even get interested when they have an issue, you just sort of wait and see what happens! I'm always amazed we keep these kids alive!
Recovering from the whole hospital experience today.
And the New drama of the day is a problem with a kid on Isaacs baseball team. I try to hold back from intervening, but the last straw was the jerk trying to steal his helmet, and pass off his crappy one for Isaacs.
I tried to confront the kid myself and end it peacefully, but he refused to take it off his head. So, I found his parents. They were clueless. I removed the helmet from jerk kid and yelled at the parents. So, I emailed the coach with every single incident of this jerk taunting my kid and hitting my kid, and pushing my kid around. I explained to him that as a coach it was his responsibility to maintain a level of discipline and teach the kids what being on a team is. It’s not just baseball, it’s treating your teammates with respect, and working together. I understand “boys will be boys” but this kid purposely picks on the weaker less aggressive kids and falls into the category of “bully”
So, now the dad want to speak with me over the phone. How much you wanna bet he’s a bully, and will try to do the same to me?
Oh, Jen, that suuuuucks. My brothers' coaches wouldn't put up with that crap. The parents wouldn't, either. Any kid could be called out by any parent at any time, and we all knew it. And woe unto you if another psrent HAD to call you down. O.o
Have a script for both scenarios Jen. The whiner, ugh, I despise whiners so that one would be hard. The bully, just don't put up with his crap, bullies live for people who won't stand up to them
He was most certainly clueless that his boy’s a bully. Appreciated my observations. And we discussed how to implement better discipline on the entire team.
